mine is doing the same thing with a different model, the hall switch or the safety key has had something happened ill have to try to flip the magnet around. Thank!! i know its 8 years later lol
I have the same model. My treadmill keeps staying at either 10 or 0 Incline on the screen, but doesn’t actually go all the way down. And I would have to manually press up and down a lot instead of just pressing the number I want it to go to. Please help.
I have the exact same model, and the same problem. It is the safety switch relay on the inside of the console. A magnetic key completes the circuit in the relay. After tearing the console apart, I discovered that the red wire attached to the relay is loose. Tried to solder it but the small metal attaching plate fell off, thus there is nothing to solder the wire to. If you remove the small panel from the back of the console, you will see the red wire. Pull on it and it will momentarily turn the treadmill back on. Currently looking for a replacement part or figuring out how to bypass the relay.
I have this exact treadmill....I went to go on it this morning and the screen comes on, it’s counting still from prior workout, and nothing works. Any ideas?
That's pretty cool. Thanks for posting. I'm experiencing the same problem with ours. Magnetic polarity changes can occur naturally or forcefully and have been for millennia. Our planet itself is in the midst of a polarity shift while we type. In any case electromagnets are easier to switch so I'm thinking although your magnet on the key may not be charged electrically, the magnet on the opposite end might just be. Or it could be connected to or influenced by an electrical current, thus causing a polarity switch. In any case good job weeding out the problem and thanks again for the insight.
Thank you so much for responding I'm buying a used treadmill and came across this particular model! The seller wasn't sure of the model so I'm doing some research of my own! Would you recommend this machine?
It's the only one I've ever owned and I have not used it as much as I intended. I have no issue with the treadmill part, but the built-in speaker volume is pretty sad. As you can see in the video I have attached my own. No real complaints other than that. It is quite heavy.

I have this same model, my power turns on but treadmill won’t start. Any suggestions?

Did you try resetting it with the on/off switch at the bottom front of the deck?

What model number is this?
It is a NordicTrack T5.7
Boy I feel dumb. Thank you!
How do you unfold this model? I was gifted a used one however it was folded when I got it and cannot open it
Call manufacturer
Can you tell me what model this is?
Nordictrack T5.7 treadmill (Model 24985)
This happens when you don't use an extension cord with the extra ground peg
Bro, you dont need to use that magnet. you can use any magnet. Just find the right polarity.
just remove the magnete an insert on the correct side, because your equipment has a reed switch, somebody insert de magnet on the wrong position
THX tho!
thanku you very much bro
