Visceral motor information travels from the medulla oblongata along the vagus nerve to most parts of the digestive tract. From the some parts of the pharynx, it would be along the glossopharyngeal nerve. Branching from the aorta, the gastric artery leads to the stomach. The superior and inferior mesenteric arteries lead to different sections of the intestines.
