Thank you SO much!! I wish that they would have taught this in the basics class! I just hate when I get a survey that is askew. What do you do when you have terrain changes on the oblique to the property? For example, I am working on a design where the "0-grade is the back east corner of the house and the terrain changes fan out to the north, west, and east, but all at different slopes. The east side fence goes up in grade and curves on the oblique. It is really challenging terrain to work with.
Terrain is pretty challenging. You just have to sculpt it per your field data. ALWAYS build your model on 0 and work the terrain down/up around it
This is help full thank you. Question for you, how would you deal with a property that is not rectangular, an outside corner lot skinny at the front, wide at the back. my house lines up parallel on one side of the property and has 45 is degree on the south end. my pool is going to be aligned with the angled fence. so It wont line up with my grid. Is there a way to rotate everything in the model so I can work on the pool with the grid and the house one after another?
I always choose to square up the largest % of the house...for example the center of the house. If my pool is going to be rectangle then square up the section of house that will run parallel with the pool.
the import button on the free trial is greyed out and you can't click it. Did you have this issue?
