Love these videos. I had to take the door card of my Chimaera many a time to tweak the door glass position and fix dodgy connections. Gloves and long sleeves are very important when trying to get to those hard to reach nuts!
Great video Snorky, gave me the confidence to have a go at mine. Did your fix hold up to setting your mirror up for good visibility. I think mine will just be fixed as I'm sure it will not take folding in for parking. Shouldn't be necessary.
My tripod turns on the mount thats fixed in the door. But it won't come off. Like it's not threaded? I certainly don't have a grub screw there either.....no sign of one anywhere at the base of that tripod?
Mine is the same. It seems to be a weak area. You did a very good and creative repair. Thank you for the video
Thanks for watching!
That's where mine has broken. I really appreciate this video. Thanks SnorkyMedia 👍

It isn't perfect , but seems stable enough to cope with normal use. Like you I pretty much never fold the mirrors
My tripod simply unscrewed, afterwhich I could get to the screw that attaches to the mirror.
I wasnt so lucky...

I have a stock of 3 pairs of those mirrors
Like gold dust.... 😬
I do not need them anymore as I do not have a TVR now........ If anyone does need let me know here
