Great video! And finally someone focusing on the creative possibilities with this camera. And thank you for showing photos captured with the new camera. I can’t wait to get mine.
Best shots from this new camera I've seen thus far! The diptychs as a storytelling technique really works. If you don't mind me asking, what do you use to scan these? Because the quality of the scan also seems way better than a lot of the other shots I'm seeing from others.
Really nice philosophy and video. Great photos! When you shoot, how do you know what is the first photo of the two photos in a diptych? Is it like 1 + 1, (first) 2 and (second) 2… if you understand what I mean 😅
Check the newsletter for more on that, it's linked. But in a nutshell, same quality in terms of results, but the Pen-F has the pro of being able to use more than one lens (which I don't actually do) and the con of being much heavier and less compact (but not so heavy that its a big problem)
For my next book, which comes out very soon, it was all shot on the Olympus Pen-F. It's specifically work that fits a certain period of my life and a theme, and it was short over the course of 3 spring seasons. I didn't get this Pentax until that body of work was way wrapped up. I think there is another book in this Pentax camera though. The first ten rolls have given me so much already, I'm going to keep shooting.
This is the best review of the Pentax 17 without focusing on the camera itself. It's also just a great message, period.
Thank you very much :) ❤
I didn't know I wanted one of these cameras until watching this video. This is a very compelling advertisement for the Pentax 17
I'd be very curious to see what you make with it!
Yes! Glad you are back.
Thanks Noah!

Thanks for the kind words JC! And for getting it!
Loved the video, so fun to watch! And the diptychs are lovely, looking forward to Notice Journal Vol I!
Thank you Karin :) really enjoyed yours as well!
Same!
This was well put together! I had a good chuckle, nice one!
haha I'm glad to hear that Sam. Thanks!
This feels like a compelling narrative for photography itself :) Enjoyed the writing and execution very much Wesley and team 👊🏾
Thank you Sathya!
The world needs more of this kind of videos. Subscribed. 🍻
Great video, I love the message here and am really wanting to add one of these to my half frame collection!!
Thanks Paul! I think you'll love it!
Yes! More Wesbones videos please 📸
Hope to do more!

That made me smile, thank you! And re: scans, that’s all Carmencita Film Labs! Best lab I’ve ever worked with and the kindest most caring people!
Simply brilliant. The video. Probably the camera too!
Thanks so much Luke!
Dude, great job with the edit! Straight to the point and well put together. Definitely not easy to put together but you made it an easy watch.
Thanks Gajan! I wrote the script but all the edit credit goes to Luc! He killed it!
Very good video with an important message for photography.
Thank you for the kind words!

I don’t actually know! There’s chance involved
@@WesleyVerhoevePhotography so does the image counter show 36 or 72 in the camera?
Awesome!!
thank you!
👏👏👏👏
Thanks Craig!
How do ypu think thsi fares against the olympus pen f? Would love to see a comparison between those two if possible!

@@WesleyVerhoevePhotography thanks for the answer i will look it up! Lovely pictures keep it up! 👊
Nice photos! Are those darkroom prints?
they are high end inkjet on japanese paper actually, but I have also made some darkroom prints
Which half frame camera are you using for your book?

Speaking of saving money, first buy the camera for $500. 😂
Cameras are not free, this is an excellent point!
