I 100% think you should get the #4 flutter sleeve top. It is not trying too hard at all! Your smile and face brightened up in that top like no other. Your arms and decollettage are in great shape. This top is a wonderful option for you!

I know how you feel about the top - I love the details on it and you really suit that colour, but it's probably the sleeves - there's a lot of the "milkmaid" style dresses and tops around the moment which are very pretty but I don't think I'd feel right in them either. Much better Fix than of late, though 😉
The coral and red colors are beautiful on you. I think an off-white would suit your complexion better than the stark white. Maybe it's the lighting?? Thank you for sharing.
I get tons of rayon and polyester tops from Stitch Fix. I don't think I have ever gotten a 100% cotton top. I actually liked all of the tops, (especially the pineapple one) none of which looked like you were trying too hard or trying to look younger. I personally have been super lucky of late. I just went back and checked, and my last 4 were 5/5. Sadly I really don't need anything either, so I've cut back on my deliveries of late. I need to balance want with true need. I'll pick back up in fall. Thanks as always for sharing. 🙂

I'm in my 60's and there are some trends I feel look good on me, and some I don't. I don't think of it as an age thing, but I get what you meant when you said, "it looks like I'm trying too hard". I don't care for the pouffy flutter sleeves that red top had and I'd feel a bit silly wearing something like that. Good for your stylist sending you cotton items. I shy away from polyester because it doesn't breathe and I get overheated wearing it. Generally, I get mostly polyester from StitchFix. I sent everything back from my last fix.

Hi Tina , I do receive cotton or cotton blend pieces in my boxes . I make sure to request natural fabrics in every note to my stylist . I’m sorry you weren’t comfortable in the red eyelet top because my first thought was how adorable it was on you . I also wanted to tell you that I received the same white blouse and found it was snug around the hip area as well. I think it may be due to the dolman style. Ok Tina, first of all , you are young😁 50 is not old. You have a lovely figure and you are such a cute lady. I loved all the tops on you but I am a cotton and linen fan. I live in a very warm climate so I hate polyester. Saying all that you have to see yourself and feel pretty and comfortable in your clothes. My daughter in law is tall and beautiful like you and she’s picky too, but I love to shop with her and pick out things for her to try and then she loves them. Tall girls are very blessed!

I was stunned at the prices, too. I thought the white button-down was a little too private school girl uniform, if that makes sense. I liked the red halter on you, but if it's a hassle, you won't wear it. And I agree the yellow wasn't the greatest color.
Hi Tina, I had to repeatedly say I needed a 31/32 inch inseam in pants before I actually got any. I don’t think I ever got a cotton top? If I did, I didn’t keep it. I like getting boxes. It is time to renew my style pass, that will be the decision maker in regard to if I continue or not. If I feel good in something, then I wear it. I don’t let my age determine if I will wear it or not. I will break out the strapless bra for anything that seems like a strap will show.
Hi Lynne! I think one the problems with SF is that they really don't have a lot of 34" inseams in stock. And I could not agree more! I think it is so much more important to wear what you feel good in as opposed to some age restriction. I loved that red ruffle top. I just wish I felt more comfortable in it! I just found out that Stitch Fix is not renewing my style pass! I even emailed as I had hear that other RUclipsr 's had renewed theirs. They said that they are doing away with all style passes and that because we all renew at different times, they probably renewed before the final decision to stop the style pass. I am disappointed! Good morning, Tina! 🙂 I had several thoughts watching this: I would want more 100% cotton, were it not for the wrinkling. 🙄 So, I tend to prefer a cotton blend. I also agree that we should wear what we feel good in. I wear and love some styles that might be viewed as best for younger women, but others I just feel silly in. Lastly, I raised my price point with Stitch Fix probably a year ago, and I even mentioned I'm looking for high-end pieces in my note to the stylist. STILL they send me lower priced items! I think I am going to be asking for cotton blend as well. I just like having choices with all the polyester tops I'm getting. So glad I saw this, it’s my last watch of the day & just selected preview pieces for my upcoming fix. Too funny, my fave color is red & that halter had caught my eye in Freestyle. Definitely a great color on you. You are so right, it was a well priced box & great that your stylist has been listening to your preferences. I do receive cotton sometimes but more of the polys/rayons. The pieces were nice but was clear they weren’t hitting the mark for what you wanted in the try on. I 💯 agree with your sentiments on not being boxed into age limit dressing..in my opinion boils down to an individual’s preference. If you don’t love or feel comfortable in something, wait for something else that will give you joy 🤩 Last thing…a short sleeve white button down would be really cute but this one catapulted me all the way back to my Catholic school uniform trauma lol. If they still have them check out Loft, I picked up an adorable gauze crinkly button down in white. Was sooo comfy I ended up getting in navy & also guava. Sorry for yapping so long my friend. I don’t think I’ve gotten many cotton tops from Stitchfix. I’m like you in that I get a lot of polyester tops. I know exactly what you mean about the dark pink top. It looks like a style for a woman in her twenties or thirties. It’s the straps. I’m picky about the way clothes look and fit too. It’s not worth it to buy something that’s just going to hang in your closet. You did the right thing about not keeping anything. Have a wonderful day my sweet friend.

I have a dress in my closet I've never worn yet I immediately loved it. It has a puffy sleeve and I love the fabric but I never reach for it. I completely get it. Good call to send everything back.

Hi Tina! How great that Natalie really listened to your feedback and sent all those cotton pieces. When I used to get StitchFix I never got cotton tops, they were always polyester. You are NOT weird for being particular about what you choose to buy at all. I totally understand not wanting to look like you're trying to hard to look young (that saying "mutton dressed as lamb" sticks with me when I think I might be wearing something to young). I will say that the red halter top looked amazing on you but I don't like strapless bra's either and it wouldn't be worth it to me! Hmmm...maybe that's a video idea? A strapless bra showdown! Now I don't mean that you should model strapless bra's for us 😂 but maybe get ideas from your viewers as to favorite strapless bra brands and try them to see how they feel? That might be expensive though! I've heard the Wacoal strapless bra's are super comfy but I've never tried them. Anyway! Have a wonderful 4th my friend! 😊

I finally parted ways with Stitch Fix. I had my price points set higher in hopes I would get better brands. I have several items I wanted to try liked and in my cart. I rejected everything in two previews. They previewed long sleeved sweaters and jackets in June. I always got cheap looking TJ Maxx clearance rack looking stuff. I seriously think they have AI or bots or something doing the styling.

Tina, hello....honestly none of the tops did any thing to flatter beautiful you. The best fitting one was the red with the ruffle sleeve that you thought was too young looking, the halter sagged at the arm pits and the white, I agree with another commenter that it looks like a uniform shirt. The pineapple one looks like it would be a nightmare to keeps looking fresh after washes. I too prefer a cotton blend over a 100 percent cotton for two reasons....the blends seem to wash up better with little to no shrinkage and not near as difficult to iron or steam as 100% cotton is. The red ruffled top was very flattering on you and I didn't think it looked too you; however you have to wear what's comfortable for you.

Unfortunately I would send it all back. The white short sleeve I didn’t like the fit especially the arms it looked kind of boxy and too short, I knew before you said it that the ruffle red sleeve you were going to think looked too young and I would have said the same thing for me, the mustard color was just ok, I agree with the strapless bra and the jeans were too short. You don’t have to feel bad about sending it all back, they expect you are going keep so everything every time. 😊

The orange print top looked good on you and might work really well with shorts. White shirt was plain and was not very stylish. The orange ruffled top did not look good on you, the color in a different style would look good. The ruffled sleeves did not work well with your arms. Like the red color but not the style.

Ok Tina, first of all , you are young😁 50 is not old. You have a lovely figure and you are such a cute lady. I loved all the tops on you but I am a cotton and linen fan. I live in a very warm climate so I hate polyester. Saying all that you have to see yourself and feel pretty and comfortable in your clothes. My daughter in law is tall and beautiful like you and she’s picky too, but I love to shop with her and pick out things for her to try and then she loves them. Tall girls are very blessed!

I was stunned at the prices, too. I thought the white button-down was a little too private school girl uniform, if that makes sense. I liked the red halter on you, but if it's a hassle, you won't wear it. And I agree the yellow wasn't the greatest color.

Hi Tina, I had to repeatedly say I needed a 31/32 inch inseam in pants before I actually got any. I don’t think I ever got a cotton top? If I did, I didn’t keep it. I like getting boxes. It is time to renew my style pass, that will be the decision maker in regard to if I continue or not. If I feel good in something, then I wear it. I don’t let my age determine if I will wear it or not. I will break out the strapless bra for anything that seems like a strap will show.
Hi Lynne! I think one the problems with SF is that they really don't have a lot of 34" inseams in stock.
And I could not agree more! I think it is so much more important to wear what you feel good in as opposed to some age restriction. I loved that red ruffle top. I just wish I felt more comfortable in it!
I just found out that Stitch Fix is not renewing my style pass! I even emailed as I had hear that other RUclipsr 's had renewed theirs. They said that they are doing away with all style passes and that because we all renew at different times, they probably renewed before the final decision to stop the style pass. I am disappointed! Please let me know what they tell you about your renewal. I am just curious.

I would want more 100% cotton, were it not for the wrinkling. 🙄 So, I tend to prefer a cotton blend.
I also agree that we should wear what we feel good in. I wear and love some styles that might be viewed as best for younger women, but others I just feel silly in.
Lastly, I raised my price point with Stitch Fix probably a year ago, and I even mentioned I'm looking for high-end pieces in my note to the stylist. STILL they send me lower priced items! I don't get it. 🤷♀️ I'm glad to see your stylist worked so hard to accommodate you.

I think I am going to be asking for cotton blend as well. I just like having choices with all the polyester tops I'm getting. That is a bit discouraging hearing you upped your price point and still are getting the same tops! We will have to see where this goes, although I do thing Natalie is doing a good job.

So glad I saw this, it’s my last watch of the day & just selected preview pieces for my upcoming fix. Too funny, my fave color is red & that halter had caught my eye in Freestyle. Definitely a great color on you. You are so right, it was a well priced box & great that your stylist has been listening to your preferences. I do receive cotton sometimes but more of the polys/rayons. The pieces were nice but was clear they weren’t hitting the mark for what you wanted in the try on. I 💯 agree with your sentiments on not being boxed into age limit dressing..in my opinion boils down to an individual’s preference. If you don’t love or feel comfortable in something, wait for something else that will give you joy 🤩 Last thing…a short sleeve white button down would be really cute but this one catapulted me all the way back to my Catholic school uniform trauma lol. If they still have them check out Loft, I picked up an adorable gauze crinkly button down in white. Was sooo comfy I ended up getting in navy & also guava. Sorry for yapping so long my friend. It is nice to hear you agree about not putting any age limits on clothes. I am really just trying to go by how I feel wearing something. If I feel great, I don't care what anyone else thinks! I guess that is one advantage of growing older, right?
I was thinking of you last week, when I took a trip to LOFT. I took in a dressing room full of clothes, but came out empty handed. We know that doesn't happen there very often! It was just one of those days, I didn't like anything on me! I guess it was good for my wallet though. Lol!

I don’t think I’ve gotten many cotton tops from Stitchfix. I’m like you in that I get a lot of polyester tops. I know exactly what you mean about the dark pink top. It looks like a style for a woman in her twenties or thirties. It’s the straps. I’m picky about the way clothes look and fit too. It’s not worth it to buy something that’s just going to hang in your closet. You did the right thing about not keeping anything. Have a wonderful day my sweet friend.

Hi Tina! I don't think it's weird at all to feel the way you did about the top. I would probably feel that way too and I've sold a few items with that same kind of ruffle sleeve. I have a dress in my closet I've never worn yet I immediately loved it. It has a puffy sleeve and I love the fabric but I never reach for it. I completely get it. Good call to send everything back.
I can see that you know exactly what I was trying to get across. I think that red top is adorable! And I could have easily purchased it, only to have it sit in the closet with the tag on, just like your dress!

Hi Tina! How great that Natalie really listened to your feedback and sent all those cotton pieces. When I used to get StitchFix I never got cotton tops, they were always polyester.
You are NOT weird for being particular about what you choose to buy at all. I totally understand not wanting to look like you're trying to hard to look young (that saying "mutton dressed as lamb" sticks with me when I think I might be wearing something to young). I will say that the red halter top looked amazing on you but I don't like strapless bra's either and it wouldn't be worth it to me! Hmmm...maybe that's a video idea? A strapless bra showdown! Now I don't mean that you should model strapless bra's for us 😂 but maybe get ideas from your viewers as to favorite strapless bra brands and try them to see how they feel? That might be expensive though! I've heard the Wacoal strapless bra's are super comfy but I've never tried them.

I finally parted ways with Stitch Fix. I had my price points set higher in hopes I would get better brands. I have several items I wanted to try liked and in my cart. I rejected everything in two previews. They previewed long sleeved sweaters and jackets in June. I always got cheap looking TJ Maxx clearance rack looking stuff. I seriously think they have AI or bots or something doing the styling.

Have you ever tried Front Door Fashion? That is an excellent service where you are actually talking , texting or emailing your stylist.

My stitch fix profile says no 100 percent polyester items. I get cotton, cotton blends and rayon. Polyester feels hot and yucky on me.

Tina, hello....honestly none of the tops did any thing to flatter beautiful you. The best fitting one was the red with the ruffle sleeve that you thought was too young looking, the halter sagged at the arm pits and the white, I agree with another commenter that it looks like a uniform shirt. The pineapple one looks like it would be a nightmare to keeps looking fresh after washes. I too prefer a cotton blend over a 100 percent cotton for two reasons....the blends seem to wash up better with little to no shrinkage and not near as difficult to iron or steam as 100% cotton is. The red ruffled top was very flattering on you and I didn't think it looked too you; however you have to wear what's comfortable for you.

Unfortunately I would send it all back. The white short sleeve I didn’t like the fit especially the arms it looked kind of boxy and too short, I knew before you said it that the ruffle red sleeve you were going to think looked too young and I would have said the same thing for me, the mustard color was just ok, I agree with the strapless bra and the jeans were too short. You don’t have to feel bad about sending it all back, they expect you are going keep so everything every time. 😊

The orange print top looked good on you and might work really well with shorts. White shirt was plain and was not very stylish. The orange ruffled top did not look good on you, the color in a different style would look good. The ruffled sleeves did not work well with your arms. Like the red color but not the style.
