I've listened to ambient regularly for 25+ years. But so rarely do I get to watch the artists perform. This is a treat. Chloe's sound is indeed mesmerizing. Had I not watched this I would had ZERO notion that she was mixing with turntables. Is this common in the ambient scene? I honestly assumed that the vast majority of ambient creators just used an array of keyboards, knobs, dials and various effects toys. Turntables never crossed my mind. So rad.
She's mixing from pre-recorded stuff. But if you want the real deal (an artist creating ambient soundscapes using vinyl as a source material), I recommend you an artist called Philip Jeck. Truly mesmerizing stuff. Sadly he had passed away already.
nice calming set..I love the way women have their gear organized and some plants in the room, nice lighting,etc,etc..I am surprised I have not tripped and killed myself with wires in my studio, yet I will get it together soon..
