This video captures attention right from the start, delivering a perfect balance of engaging visuals and clear messaging. Whether you're here to learn something new, be inspired, or simply enjoy some great storytelling, this video does not disappoint. Thanks Leo
Thanks for this! I think the e future is where you can just play any song you like and the pedal creates a tone library of all tones used in that song!
As for NAMM....,yes.. very interesting gear already, and there's still one day to go. The new Boss VG-800 left me really curious. ;) I hope you review it, soon. Thanks again Cheers from Portugal
You are welcome and thank you for your message! Yes, the VG 800 is pretty interesting...If BOSS will send me a unit...for sure I will be happy to check it out!
Thank you! So far I don't have the GS 1000 therefore I can't do the tests...of course if Mooer will send me a unit...I will be happy to make some videos and also some null tests... Thanks!
Yes, this could be a reason...or also the latency may be not good....but these are just speculation...they may simply prefer other channels. Thank you!
As for the NVidia AI desktop device, it looks like a great stemp up to make a good percentage of the general public, to being able to engage in more serious work.
Thank you, Leo. Pretty solid video, as usual. ;) O agree with tou, when it comes to the Hotone & Mooer debate. Mooer is failing to realize the power of Firmware updates, when it comes to establishing an audience for their products. New hardware every 6months is not very smart. Look at an HX Stomp, or a MX5... These are really solid products that gave the respective companies less sales...but the owners are now faithful to the brand.
We are waiting for a comparison video between the GE300, GS1000, Quad Cortex and Ampero II. And of course, a review that focuses exclusively on the GS1000! The 192,000Hz and 2048 samples seem like an amazing 'story', especially for us Linux users who use Cadence/Jack! It would be interesting to hear the sound of the GS1000 via USB and via jack into the audio interface and compare the sounds (raw of course through flat monitors)!
Both the Mooer GS 1000, and ToneX Cab look like really good, useful pieces of gear that address the needs of Modeler users. Having Nvidia Supercomputer powers could reshape how musicians create sounds/tones, record, and play music. Amazing times to be alive! Thanks
Excellent video, very objective and clear comparison of the mooer gs1000 and the G1000, so far the Hotone Ampero II has beaten them one. Let's see what news the Boss and line 6 brands bring us at NAMM 2024
Thanks for your video @Leo! With the update, there is now a "S0" incon besides the tempo icon on the detailed display. Clicking this icon, it show 4 options with different colors (S0 S1 S2 S3). What is this for please?
Ehy...good catch!! I think it is referred to Scenes functionalities....but I'm not sure as I have tried and it does not work...maybe it is for future development. Thank you for pointing it out!
4:00 I totally agree about the client/manufacturer relationship, Leo. We should value our hard earned money. But in this case, at least the “old” unit can play profiles and was updated. If they release the software for PC, I’d consider it fair enough. Ideally, manufacturers should make their software for Windows, Mac, Linux and smartphones when possible. My point is: there’s exemplary cases of doing things right, if Hotone really brings profile playing to their older units, it would be an example. And there’s examples of companies treating their customers as fools. So, one should research the company’s behavior before being believing marketing campaigns.
@@LeoGibsonGtr I just saw the price of Tonex. For 50 euros more I can buy a marshall 20 Origin head and its cab, so I would not put such a large sum into a FRFR speaker.
Hi, I'm not sure, as typically time effects do not impact latency (as the original sound pass by and the repetition time is set typically at more milliseconds that the latency)....I would need to test it. Thanks!
I wish Boss Tube Core had power amp emulations, it would allow me to use it not only with amps as attenuator but also with my tube preamps like for example ADA MP-1 or Marshall JMP-1 that I own.
Great presentation as usual Leo. Still no software for Linux. Guess I won't be buying anything until there is. Maybe one day they will realize they are leaving money on the table.
As far as I have understood, the Core supports max 100W amps...where the regular version supports amps until 150W...that's the reason why some Mesa amps are not supported by the Core. Thanks!
Hi Leo, the other day I noticed the M-VAVE ANN Black box bought it for 64 us dollars still waiting for it. This pedal uses neural network or ai to copy amps and overdrives. It looks like a really cheap solution. I would like to see your 2 cents on it and how it holds up to the nam vst and other amp copying ai hardware.
I'd rather have a great amp emulation than profiles as they are basically "snapshots" of amps, meaning you can't change much after. Also, if you do not have amps of your own to profile, you are stock with whatever someone else did.
Right to the point on Mooer. GE was a mistake finance wise. Full stop! Sometimes, to be back on track amid tight competition out there, it is better to release another unit. Based on my researches, GS1000 seems to have ripped off, in a good way, all the cool features from HX Stomp, Ampero, Quad and ToneX, being the only one running on battery. The only concern I have noticed so far is how powerful the DSP is going to be. I had owned an Ampero II Stage. Great form factory, sleek, but highly power consumption (1.5A), horrible modulations - all mods sound like the same flanger, chorus is ridiculous - , impossible to run vocals with minimal effects along with a flexible 6-effect chain for the guitar (2 of them dedicated to amp and cab). On top of that, the DSP is pretty short when it comes to handle long delays, reverb, etc. If you choose to pick high resolution amps with Celestion, you are gonna eat considerably the DSP, leaving only DSP room for the basics to say the least. It all boils down to how powerful the DSP might be capable of - which for me has been the #1 issue by far with those budgets units link HX Stomp, Ampero and Moore (until GE series) - I have owned all of those. Soundwise, they all sounds pretty the same specially playing live and in the mix. Work flow? Eventually you get used to overtime.
Mooer lack a good spec list. Searched in their site and nothing and had no time to check the manual. So I tougth: I am sure that Leo Fender will do it in a couple of days but I was wrong: It is Leo Gibson not Leo Fender lol. bye bye, have a good one!
Am i the only one losing interest in modelling devices? i used the ge300 for years and still use gelabs at home and yet the better it all gets the less i care about it. especially on records or seeing big bands showing em off back stage. i want to hear the real amp not an imitation I cant think of anything less rock and roll than this sterile crap and AI is where i get off the special bus. its like showing a painter the latest line of epson printers.
Then don't use them dude. No one is forcing you 😊 Nothing in life is that serious. These are just toys and it's totally fine to like a toy and not like another toy.

The Blackwell GPU and The Grace CPU have me eager to see how this leap forward trickles down into the PC market.
I'm curious too!!!!
Hi Leo, my Ampero 2 is amplified in a Spark Cab. So i will folow the IK FRFR cab. If it is so good..well...i may change.😁

@@LeoGibsonGtr I just saw the price of Tonex. For 50 euros more I can buy a marshall 20 Origin head and its cab, so I would not put such a large sum into a FRFR speaker.
When Mooer says: “Optimized delay in the amp and cabinet modules.”
Does it means a better total latency numbers?

If I remember it well, the MOD Dwarf platform works on Linux...but I'm not sure....
Hey Leo, thank you so much for addressing the mooer ge1000 update. I have a quick question, can it dual amp now?
You are welcome!
Yes, now it can dual amp!
Just a thought, I wonder if boss will release a profiler at some point?
Someday they have to update it....I think that profiling should be in every modeller by default...
So I can't go wrong if I buy a Mooer ge1000 or an Ampero 2 if I'm not worried about tone catch?
That's of course one of the main differences....
Only news what we really need
Thank you so much, I'm happy that you appreciate the video and the format!!!
Pls the mooer 1000 comparrison pls (btw does it has tone capture?)
Only the mooer gs1000 can tone capture, I think. Hotone does a better job there it seems
Hi, I don't have the GS 1000 which supports tone capture. If Mooer sends me unit...I will be happy to make some videos....
Thanks!
The Boss TAE also has effects…delay, reverb, compression, EQ, I believe
Yes, the big version has also effects, I mentioned it in the video.
Thanks!
great content cheers!

Leo - any thoughts why the TAE CORE won’t work with certain Mesa boogie amps? Unusual.
As far as I have understood, the Core supports max 100W amps...where the regular version supports amps until 150W...that's the reason why some Mesa amps are not supported by the Core.
