- Welcome to "season 2" of the PB3 series !
In this season, we will cover classic DOOM 2 with one of the newest builds of PB3.
The entire campaign will be separated into 3 parts, all of them on "Man AND a Half" difficulty. This playthrough will be played with the "Chaotic Random" preset, which will feature almost every kind of weapon/enemy in this awesome mod.

Few Notes:
*This mod is still WIP, newer builds can be released any moment.
*The annoying motion blur effect is only present at the first level.
*My pc struggled a little bit with Level 9 and 10 due to a huge amount of demons.

Imagine it's the early 90s and THIS is the game that comes out. Video games would have been banned forever.
No computer back then would've been able to run it
Not possible, even though this uses the original Doom engine as the foundation, by itself the original engine wouldn't be able to handle many of the enhancements custom textures and particle lighting effects Project Brutality brings to the table. Remember this isn't a simple MoD but a complete overhaul of the original game. If they tried running this as is back then? The frame rate would be horrifying it would be like playing Myst with a shotgun.
@carlos green Weird, I have an underpowered i5 and it works just fine.
So when does doom getting ray tracing?
@carlos green wtf, I have a laptip with AN AMD E1-2100 APU, two-core, 1 Ghz and this run relatively fine, obviously in partes with a bunch of enemies it lags but from there normally it doesn't (well, the integrated graphics are quite good and I configures that a little to optimize it)

Yeah I have two kids and although I prefer not to let them see me play BD or PB, I still feel like a maniacal demon-slaughtering machine when I play them. I may or may not have cackled once or twice while playing.

Those graphics look awesome, it looks like a modern game but with a retro art style.

I was thinking the same exact thing.
Me too, it is a soothing dance of carnage, which sounds weird, but that's how it makes me feel.
I love the old school animations of the guns, which is essentially switching sprites between each gun motion, but those mixed with the gun flash and bullet tracing is just so good to look at.

Eh, there's too much unnecessary headsway for so much stuff in my opinion and on top of that a lot of the gun reloads and animations are just... a *lot* of tweening. and while not a deal breaker, it's definitely not the greatest thing to look at.

I love that classic Doom level design holds up THIS well even with all the extreme changes.
A good game to play with all family and for the kids play while the lunch at noon.

Doom eternal is the 2019 graphics version of this just with less blood and overall content AAA studios can’t endlessly pack games with 30 weapons each with multiple fire modes, tons of levels dozen upon dozens of enemy types, hundreds of granular detail last from any the many items in the game etc. budgets and deadlines and all...

@@HotaruZoku Only issue i see here is inability to dual-wield those triple-barrel-six-barreled chainguns.
@@khatharos I mean Berserk does apply the strength bonus to cutting recoil in half, but....given that one handing them would quadruple the recoil, a berserk would mean you'd have two....with twice the current recoil.

I'm sorry but there is simply no better way to play Doom then with Project Brutality and this recent version is the most fun it's been because it just keeps getting better, more new enemies weapons and more ways to become a one man walking demonic Holocaust.😁
I would love to see this version of PB applied to "Project ReMap" in case nobody is familiar with it, it's a map pack that is a complete redesign of the Doom 2 maps with completely different more modern custom textures and overall level design it's still a work in progress but it's absolutely amazing.

it is facinating how a game this "old" can be changed to the better just by changing the sprites, updating the graphics and add a whole lot of weapons.
This is WAY better than many other shooters today.

Giving you a like and a sub because my rig would cry trying to render all this footage. Had to stop the video after I saw the Nailgun from Quake make an appearance, as I had to play it for myself.
I am a DOOM fan since the DEMOS came out in early 1993, I was 13 years old: I have Gigas de Mods, total restructuring such as Brutal Doom and others. Skulltag was one of my favorite engines.
But Brutality, by far, is the best of all!
The only thing I would like to know, is with which BUILDER levels can be modified.

I always considered Doomguy to be God's chosen warrior to fight the forces of hell. It explains why he didn't get possessed like the other marines and why he's so unstoppable-he's literally blessed. Like Samson or Gideon. Satan is like "UNLEASH THE ENTIRE ARMIES OF HELL" and God is like "Ok, let me just send this one guy" and all the servants of hell laugh except for satan, who remembers what happened the last time God sent one guy.

This game's over-hall (and tons of neat additions/modifications) is simply sensational. I am extremely impressed with the creator(s) This must have been a lot of hard work and countless months, or years of work. Even though this is sprite based, and artificial 3d..I think this mod looks better than some modern games out there. Just fantastic work guys. Wow.
