Studio C Farewell - Your Birthdays Are Special

- Turning back the clock to 2017. Here’s an unreleased video looking back at my local Studio C. I’ve grown up with and been going to this store for near 2 decades now. Unfortunately all good things come to an end. With corporate’s 2019 buyout, and now the announcement of discontinuing all future Studio C programming, and plans to plow through more 2.0 remodels; it may finally be the time to say farewell to this place.
It’s sad to say goodbye to this cherished part of my life but over these last years, it’s truly felt like watching a loved one wither away in pain. I’ll always be a fan, however I have no intention of further supporting the company considering current operations. There’s no reason to go if everything that makes it special’s being systematically ripped out.
TLDR; Studio C’s, COLs, and the lights on early Party Stages will no longer be programmed. I’m still a CEC/RAE/etc fan.
Note: This video was made before Corp asked fans to stop using modern Rockstar audio. idk if that rule’s still in effect or not.
This is an automatic upload originally done in mid-August. Hopefully things will get better by the time this posts. However, the current outcome’s not looking good.

Oh this is a bit awkward. Thought I scheduled this to upload September 19th. Guess I forgot to hit save.
Record your Studio C’s while you still can. When the Evergreen show ends, Corp’s current plan is to stop sending programming for Studio C’s, COL’s, and early Party Stage wall lights. They will be left in random mode indefinitely.

Worst birthday ever
This hits hard, I already lost my childhood stage and recently the last location with a MMBB in my state. Hearing this song really hits harder now that all my CECs are now 2.0, I'll never forget the fun memories I had at those locations.
As a person who has recently lost a MMBB and has a COL not far away, It really hurts that CEC is to lazy to fix the situation. Classic CEC making the worst decisions :/
The dubbing rule does not affect CEC videos anymore

They don't want to spend money making new copies every time they update the Evergreen show just to change a few intermissions 🙄

I still don’t understand why they couldn’t just continue using physical discs. I guess it does make it more convenient, but in a way it seems they’re looking for excuse to completely wipe studio Cs from existing. Obviously that’s not the case (probably) but that thought kinda comes up in my head sometimes. Either way it’s sad to see these getting killed off so suddenly. R.I.P. studio C.
