- We have known for some time that our batteries are starting to fail! With the river once again back on yellow warnings, we decide today is the day to finally replace them. This is the end of our batteries but hopefully not for long! #Boat-batteries #widebeam

You are scaring me, I bought my Eurocruiser on 31/1/23 and have had to have them replace one of my bow thruster batteries already! Safe sailing 🙂
Oh no 🙈 don’t mean to scare, just keep an eye on them! If you bought your boat new she’s still in warranty so should all be good 😊

Hi Howard they were just led acid leisure batteries just cheap ones for now, they are compatible with lithium 😁 you too ☺️
Just had a Roamer lithium fitted on my F46 @Shepperton - very happy with it - 460ah but shows @530ah fully charged - built-in BMS and very simple app to see state - they have good range of sensibly priced units of varying power / size

What you need to do is get hold of a stick welder that runs around 24 Volts+ and rejuvenate the lead acid batteries by "boiling" the acid in them to de-sulphate the plates.
......The old farmers method.
Wow that sounds a bit scary 😧 lol 😂 luckily our were under warranty so just exchanged them 😃
@@WidebeamandWellingtons It is vary dangerous, as it's possible the batteries could blow up. There is no rejuvenateing those batteries. You did right by replacing them.

Would it be possible on one of your blogs to explain more about what colour flags means for different situations on the river in London as I have always been wondering how it works. Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question
