I was walking that stretch today. The flow was much stronger than usual.

The Thames in winter is a definite no no for me. Our widebeam was bashed from pillar to post last winter on our base mooring which was quite scary and felt unsafe. Couldn't wait to get off it but stuck on reds until May this year. Now thankfully safely tucked up on the GU. Be careful please and take great care.

Beeeeep that for a game of buy a boat they said it’ll be fun they said 😂 stay on a river mooring over winter. Nah 😂 diesel’s not too bad I have 4 Jerry cans that’s for the rads. but I’d dread maintaining water onboard. Power? Plugged in? Engine or generator? Run Forest run. Marina life for me. Going to be interesting keep the cameras rolling.

There is a Hummingbird size drone that will guard your property 24 hrs without recharging. Calls your phone with live video. You can take complete control to direct or call police automatically. It’s practically weather proof against rain/snow storms. Hail is its only harmful environment. Program 2nd drone to follow you from boat to store. Will wait for you to come out of store. Send it back to RV/boat at anytime up to 5 miles. Love my little birds. Not cheap but in USA tax deductible 🤗😎🇨🇦. Love you Brits. Can’t be hack! So far.

It's not a project until you go to the hardware store. Until then it's just an item on the to-do list.😜

At the risk of sounding like a know it all...the thieves will just take out the vents and unlatch the door from inside.. better to have a double dead lock that needs a key to open from the inside as well as the out side!!.❤️🇬🇧

Hi Hayley and Richard have you both thought about getting a couple of WiFi CCTV cameras that run off solar panels that you both could monitor the boat from your mobile phones when your not on the boat

A lovely job on the locks Richard those doors are very well solid and secure now. I noticed that the dog kept hindering you both whilst you were working

So why couldn't you relocate the electrical panel around the corner? If it can be done, you'd simply need to fab up a shelf or drawer box with a flange to occupy the present location of the existing panel. With careful measurement, it could easily be shop-built and then inserted into place once on board. Below the new handrail would make an ideal shoe cubby...or wellingtons if you prefer ;-)

Hi Thank you for all your great video's, I am thinking of retiring onto a widebeam. As I live in Thailand at the moment it is not easy to get info, 1 Is it possable to get an all electric one or maybe a good hybred.? 2 is there a boat builder that builds them for the Norfolf broads has to be steel not plastic.? 3 I am single so would i be able to handle a widebeam a-loan single handed ? Many Thanks

Thanks for the tip on this product but yes Richard the spray on would have been much easier!! Isn’t it great to have had some sunny weather for a couple of days. We’re in Warwickshire meeting with our builder - very exciting time (and expensive!!) Cheers Swanny

If it doesn't work stoping the leaks on the " down hanging things" try rubbing a candle into the stitches..it might melt during the height of summer but it's easy to repeat the action as needed!!.❤️🇬🇧

My hopes are fromsalty water days, they would be £100 m8n, the anchor chain and anchorplait were about £400, again from salty water days.

I got a good tr9lley from Amazon, it was not cheap, but it takes coal and logs, I use supermarket delivery if far from shops
