I went from 87 to 0 in a rockface on mountain once in my RX8. No Hans or Harness. Airbag Didn't deploy. Got nerve damage and weak back too and I can still walk

This is a great compilation of rally action. Not just crashes, but some spectacular driving. And the best part is that we can hear the actual sound - no music or silly narration. Well done.

Watching this while morning coffee with Gearheads students at my friends shop. They are mostly into drifting or fast and furious. But When the Audi Quattro went by. All Eyes we're on the screen. What was that? In unison. My friend and I in our sixties now, looked at each other and chuckled a little bit.
We love introducing inquisitive new Gearheads to Group B cars.
I can already see inspiration for the next shop project.

We’re about to see a level of dominance by the GR Corolla that we haven’t seen since the GT FOUR celica in the 90s. It’s almost unfair how amazing that car is
Toyota seems to be the only manufacturer who's going all in with rally, except maybe Hyundai
The GR corolla won't be used for rallying by Toyota
By the Gods this is real racing! Not just going around in a circle, turning Left. I very much doubt there is a NASCAR Driver today that could race in a rally like we've just seen. Its wild stuff.But those cars are over built and the driver and co-driver are almost in full body armor. I am glad I found this.
You think Drift car racers would do well in WRC? Or vice versa?
@@Dannys-Music-CollectionDrift racers wouldn't do too good, in a rally car. It takes years of practice.
Here's why. The story was told by one of the commentators, during a WRC rally last year.
There wss this young driver in 2022, French Pierre-Louis Loubet, who had done pretty well in lower WRC series, but just couldn't keep up with the rest of the field, in WRC1.
So they changed his co-driver. That didn't help.
They changed the co-driver once more, this time to a 60+ old, very seasoned co-driver. That guy quickly found out what the problem was. The young Frenchman was relying too much on trying to remember the road ahead, instead of relying on the pace notes from his co-driver.
Learning to race fast, and 100% rely on your co-driver, and not the bit of road you can see ahead, is difficult, and not something you learn quickly!

2:31 Saw this years ago in some compilation. Is the cameraman ok?
I have no information sadly, however I think the Marshall and the drivers are fine, because I saw this crash in past in a compilation with other crashes and all of the accidents included were marked as 'no serious consequences'. I hope the info were right. I searched who were the drivers involved, however I didn't found any paper. The crash should have happend in the late 90s / early 00s in Australia. Sadly no news about it

Rally racing is probably the most dangerous spectator sport, but it makes Nascar look like watching grass grow.
The only ones more "death defying" than the drivers are the spectators.
