I love the “my niece got done bit by a copperhead” bit because Zach literally doesn’t even have a story behind it and Chris takes it so seriously
my favorite detail of that is the swapping of the done and got. "she got done bit by a copperhead" vs "she done got bit"
And he doesn't even try to defend the truth of story, just repeats it.

Zachs story's are always so believable and then he says one little thing that gives it right away, like "we got a hotel together, for the night"

zach's method of bullshittery is so wonderful. he makes scenarios that are so mundanely believable and then adds one absolutely stupid detail like "Gandalf is a type of Gollum"

16:19 is my favorite bit ever. Cory fake laughs so hard he starts laughing for real, and Zach getting distracted and telling him to stop laughing, which in turn causes Cory to laugh even harder and falling into insanity, will never fail to make me laugh
The segment at 16:20 is so incredible, it’s like catching a cryptid on camera. It’s like a rare moment where Corey exhibits his secret super power of making everybody laugh just by laughing his goofy laugh over and over. There was no joke, and if there was one, Corey hijacked it and made it pay ransom to him

I did the same thing once. When someone starts telling a joke, before they get to the punchline, just start laughing preemptively as if it's already the funniest thing you've ever heard. Keep it up long enough and eventually it becomes its own joke and you're genuinely laughing at it.

Collectively it seems they've spent $600,000 on improv classes and they seem to have gotten every dollar of value out of that
It seems to me that when they joked about that, they were taking the piss of people who did. I can picture clearly at least 1 channel that did and their humor got worse

They spent Jackson Tucker amounts of money on those lessons. I think Zach said on stream they've only made a 22% turn on that investment so far and they took those classes back when they lived in that 22 person castle or whatever. So financial, they have not paid off. Comedically, ABSOLUTELY.

I’m gonna go to bat for Cory here, I know what he was going for and it’s actually a very funny twist to the bit. Cory was just saying that he, as a translator was really horrible at it to the point that he just barely knew basic phrases, but he was employed by the US government.

I have no idea why the golden rule of improv is "never say no" when saying no to someone's request will always be infinitely funnier than whatever the punchline actually is
as someone who has tried improv for a little bit, the idea is that something funny can be made if you take what the other person says and build up on it instead of rejecting it
I also don't fully agree with that (being an oblivious, vain or stubborn character can certainly be elevated by rejecting the other's idea imo) but I see the point
This is only funny for the Mr Bean Whole Foods bit where Chris immediately backpedals “no I didn’t…. Yes I did” and any instances where Cory sucks so much at improv that it goes back to being hilarious

Tomar was so passionate about improv that he would help his classmates in studying. One night he came to my house and planted a bomb beneath my bed and said that he would not detonate it if I listened to his improv lecture. Good times.
I remember being in that class. One time someone tried to make a joke about the Tomar Emeralds, and Tomar got really upset and stormed off. He mentioned something about how he "knew people that died to that shit" before he left
The thought of my leg slowly going numb as Tomar stares at me intensely with his pitch black eyes makes me feel so giddy...

I can't quite pinpoint what it is about the Oney style of improv that makes me laugh. It's genuinely just on the cusp of being the "lol random" humor they make fun of, but there's something to it that completely makes it different.
