OH. MY. GOSH!!!! Girl! I just followed your video TO THE LETTER in getting my own set up (A Tractor Supply special but the drain hose valve was in the 'open' position INSIDE the hole so had to contact support for help in getting it out) and started out VERY nervous and wobbly, too, but your video REALLY helped me go through the steps & follow along to a successful test. I'm doing my bread run now and am SOO grateful to you for the time & explanation you took in this video. Seriously, HR should pay you a commission bc this is THE MOST thorough set up vid I've seen yet. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
We received our Harvest Right yesterday, waited the 24 hours and are doing the bread run now. I was expecting a terrible noise but I am pleasantly surprised by the lack of noise. It honestly isn’t any louder than my bathroom fan.
@ Deo and Brenda Reger, good information regarding the noise. Just about every video I have watched they mention how loud the fd is when running. My home is under 850 sq feet and my fd will have to live in a corner of the living room so I have been very apprehensive about setting it up.
Thanks so much for your video. It was the most easy to understand setup that I have seen on RUclips (& believe me, I've seen a lot!). It felt like I was right there with you setting it up. My machine is being delivered today and your video has taken the fear out of it. After watching your video, I really feel confident that 'I got this'! Just a suggestion though... I would get rid of the very beginning where you are showing the machine all set up and no talking before you go into detail. I almost gave up & was about to move on then it went into the intro. Boy am I glad I did! I loved your video. Now onto your bread test... I'm sure you won't disappoint.
Thank you! Thank you! This is by far the best video step by step setup process with the manual. God bless! I got the oils pump! I also watched the bread run and it just finished. I'm excited and ready to start my freeze drying journey. God bless you and your family!
Thanks for your excellent stress reducing video. My confidence level has increased. I’ve had my machine for 2 weeks now but it’s still in the box (too much other things going on ). This weekend is my goal of getting it out of the box.
Thank you for all the little tips including the initial cleaning and especially the mold issue. I have always made it a habit of leaving the washer and dryer doors open a bit so they completely dry out so I will do the same with my fd. Thanks again.
I am so glad your video popped up in my feed. It is the clearest (and most thorough!) setup I've seen, covering several important points I'd yet to learn, e.g., my FD (which just got unboxed today) arrived with the trays upside down and I would not have realized that had you not pointed that out. Thanks so much for the excellent tutorial. I feel much better prepared now to setup my own machine. Definitely subscribing to your channel.
Thank you so much for this video! It was perfect for me because I recently bought the exact same machine AND pump. I totally get your excitement. The info you gave helped me confidently set up my machine! You're awesome!
Thanks so much for your step by step video ... I've been anxious about starting things up but tomorrow is my setup day and I'm feeling a lot more confident now. It's great to know what to expect; thank you for sharing your experience!
Thank you for this video! My husband has been using our unit and today I am using it for the first time (with him out of town of course) . You answered my 2 questions, ➕️ the bonus question regarding the T shape on some outlets.
The plug off to the side is the dedicated 20 amp breaker. Meaning the wire goes right from the breaker to that outlet only. Only the large freeze dryer requires it.
Our freeze dryer is set to arrive tomorrow. I was just checking out videos to watch so I could have a head start. Your video is great. Thank you so much. I do have one question that I have not seen anyone address. I called the company last week and ask if the drain tube could be put on the right back side of the machine instead of on the left. Every video I have seen it's always been on the back left. The company told me that it could be put on either side. I guess we will find out tomorrow but I was just wondering your thoughts. TFS. Debbie
Yes, there is a hole on both sides, so it looks like you can put it on either side. But when you receive the freeze dryer, the valve will most likely be on the back left side. It might be a little challenging getting it over to the other side because the inside tube is not very long. You might want to pull it out the left side and tie yarn or something to it to help from loosing it inside. Get creative and I'm sure you can make it work. Keep in mind that all the internal wires are on the right side too. But no matter what side it's on, there should be space for ventilation all around it. Hope this helps, and good luck!
Thanks this was a big help. My only problem is that dedicated plug. I have one in my laundry room I could plug into but my unit is in the garage right outside the laundry room door. So, I’m going to try to use a heavy duty extension cord short one and hopefully I will still have enough power to run the unit properly. Luckily I didn’t get the crazy plug you did.
I guess I did get the smaller, it’s a medium size so I don’t have to worry about having enough amperage to use it, the manual isn’t very explicit when it comes to that…So I figure as long as nothing else is running on that line I should be fine, just to be safe..
I just received my medium with premium pump. Unfortunately, it won't pull the proper vacuum during initial run/testing. I checked everything, including the vac hose. I discovered 1 fitting did not have an O-ring. I sent pics of the 2 fittings, and the company is sending me a new hose. I don't know, but I hope the new hose fixes the lack of vacuum issue.
Correct. The pump does not run throughout the entire cycle. The freeze dryer run is all automatic, including the operation of the pump. It is just important to make sure the setup of the machine and pump is correct so they can work properly together. (pump plugged into the back of the freeze dryer, pump switch on, pump gas ballast valve open, proper level of clean oil, hose connected properly, etc.). Hope that helps!
@@roothomestead4504 awesome! So ya don’t need to sit around and wait for it to finish either? Meaning if it finishes in the night your ok h til ya come back the next morn? Long as power doesn’t go out it will shut down on its own? What are the customization settings for really ? Asking all this cuz HRFD manual got water damage and lost!
The temperature on the screen in this video starting at 26:32 is the room temperature of our house. However, during a cycle when the freeze dryer is running, the temperature showing on the screen is the temperature inside the drum or chamber of the machine. You can see an example of this in our bread run video. I hope this helps!
Thank you so much, getting mine tomorrow and you gave me a total ‘since’ of confidence
I am only 10 minutes in to this and I must say you are an excellent teacher - and this is coming from someone who taught for 40 years! Thank you!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I truly am so glad this video helped you so much! Best of luck with your freeze drying!
Thank you. I just purchased my machine today. I have been watching a plethora of videos to learn...

What was your waiting time for delivery after purchase?

That's so exciting!! Have fun with it, and good luck!
Hello
Do you know if you can stop the freeze process to push cancel??? Is it harmful for machine?
Our freeze dryer is set to arrive tomorrow. I was just checking out videos to watch so I could have a head start. Your video is great. Thank you so much. Glad the video was helpful! The outlet part of the setup can be tricky to figure out. Good luck! I hope it works out for you.
The different plug is for the large size. You must of gotten a smaller one 🙂

How I get in India plz any market
Sorry I don't know if Harvest right delivers to India.
So the pump will not run continuously when freeze dryer is running ? The freeze dryer will tell the pump when to turn on?
