Shakespeare New Mexico is about three miles south of Lordsburg in the southwest corner of New Mexico. Touring the old town is a true experience of life in the old west.
Learning about the history and the people who formed the town made me grateful for those with such pioneering abilities.

It was a great trip. There's much more to the story than what I could put in the video. It's a great place.

We really enjoyed learning about the old town. I've been through Lordsburg many times but this was our first trip to Shakespeare.

A few years ago, Shakespeare lost a few buildings to fire. Caretaker decided to do some welding on a windy day.

www.shakespeareghostown.com/ Yes! It is open to the public. The website shows how to book a tour. It's very interesting and they tell a lot more about the history of the town.

This place is a joke. I wanted to take a tour and called the day before to "book" a reservation. I showed up and was the only person there. I was informed by the owner that the fee would go from $12.00 to $30.00 because I was the only one. This is VERY bad business. It's not my fault I was the only person there. I declined his "generous" offer!
