What language does he speaks? Portuguese?
They are indigenous people, they spoke Brazilian Portuguese with journalists. Brazilian Portuguese isn't completely same as in Portugal, but intelligible. Many indigenous people learn official language in school - if they speak Portuguese that's Brazil, Dutch - Suriname, French - two Guyanas, Spanish - every other country in South America.
