You couldn't be more wrong. This is reductive and stupid. The original is a thousand times more mysterious and revolutionary. This is a bland, homogenous, banal cover that adds nothing to the original.
@@jorgegordillo791 Not my point, Jorge. I called it 'reductive'. It actually DIMINISHES the original. It is so bland and stupid, it actually demonstrates a complete ignorance of what makes the original so great. A famous poet once said (I know who it was, but I don't wanna name him, 'cuz...well, I have my reaaons), "The mediocre artist borrows; the great artist STEALS." This is mediocre. Make a thing your own.
@@rickrose5377 Faulkner, right. In my opinion, this version does not diminishes the original, it has another kind of layer to it. Anyway, now i understand your pont better and I share it to an extent.
@@jorgegordillo791 I hope you're right, Jorge -- I'd feel better. Maybe I misremember; I thought it was Eliot, for whom I don't have much regard. He was such a pompous, Tory asshole. 😏 Have a good weekend, man.
@@jorgegordillo791 Oh, and since we're talking about it, I've got a GREAT cover for you. Have you ever heard Hüsker Dü's version of The Byrds' 'Eight Miles High'? ruclips.net/video/xBKyBlJ_JN8/видео.html

Why should it "add" something to the original? It is, afterall, expression.
