I love how these pens look but you're right that they do pill the paper a bit. Doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would though 🤔 it might be coz the paper bits are quite small so kinda just lay flat to the piece at the end 👌
OMG, Hancock! I just completed Fallout 4 last week after playing it several times and never finishing. Now I’m going to start all over and play an evil character who has turned bitter after losing her son and husband. One of my favorite games ever!
YESSSS I enjoy that game so muuucchh and that honestly sounds so good, I can never bring myself to be anything but nice but that honestly sounds so tempting!!!!
I have been using these awesome arrtx pens for a few years now and I find the painting/coloring experience to be much more enjoyable on a gessoed surface. I'm not necessary talking about when coloring on certain papers, but for ex, the wooden bunnies and the egg would be easier to paint with a light layer of that gesso first. I use mont marte clear, but prob would use white on the egg. I just love this video (and like, all of your others!!), and how you work many little paintings into one sesh... I hope you keep making videos like this!! 🩵
Thank you!! And yeah you're probably right, gesso would have made it a lot easier I think 😁 though the colours came out quite well considering I didn't 😂 would gesso have also prevented the feathering? ❤❤
@@staticwool you are so welcome and I agree, it came out great! The colors really pop and your art is so much fun!! I am into it! I do think that gesso would help prevent feathering... it will be like painting in a brand new surface! Sketchbooks and paper work with these too ..I can truly appreciate how you can use these on most stable papers, and you don't need to prep that surface first if you're just having fun and learning! I find regular white gesso to be pretty smooth when it dries, so you could most likely try it out with minimal preparation... Clear texture gesso, however, might cause the occasion skippage to take place (this is way more true for plastic nibs like posca, less true for brush tip!)... The remedy for this is basically just a high grit sand paper. Do a could of coats and lightly sand between.... This is what I do on wood, and I have taken sandpaper to the gessoed rock here and there lol... Oh and I also have taken to using these double or triple gessoed canvas pads (brands like yes!, fredrix, paramount and the more affordable Strathmore 300 series), instead of canvas paper pads or reg paper. The paper ones are good for checking colors, but that's about all you can do on a piece of paper that's pressed to mimic fabric lol. I like paramount the best! These pens will truly give you endless fun! I am really excited to watch what you do with them and all the exploring in between! Fantastic... And I didn't stress enough how much I truly enjoy and love your art! 🩵🩵🩵
Hi, thinking about buying these pens and it seems you have experience, how long would you say they last, I'm worried that I'm going to buy them and they will dry out super quick, thanks for your time!!
@@ericarosebhi there! I didn't read any of the other replies yet, so sorry if there's redundant info!! It's really hard to say how long they will last...I use mine a few times a month to paint rocks or on small canvases...I got my sets maybe 2 years ago (maybe longer, but I have timeblindness lol), when they had 2 sets of 30...I still have them and not one single color has run out or dried out (i do some generic brand brush markers that I use as supplemental colors, too!)...! I'm happy to report that if you make sure you hear the lids snap on when closing, you will keep them safe from this! I would keep them stored in a cooler, dry area -if this is possible! To contrast... My neice received one of the sets for Christmas... She needs a replacement already! For reference, she is 13 and uses them as her go to paint marker, which is all the time! She likes them better than the tooliart brush tips. I'm going to be getting both of the larger sets when mine run out lol... But who knows when this will be! I think you will thoroughly enjoy all the things you can do with this product....I love to do glazing when working on canvas, and I use pentel aquash brushes to accomplish this, by thinning the acrylic ink out with a little h2o .. It is such a fun and different technique.. Plus, it works when painting on primed rocks also! If you are planning on rock painting, don't skip the clear gesso prep or you will fray the brushes fast. My final tip to anyone who uses any kind of brush tip acrylic ink marker, is to give it a gentle shake before each use. They do not require this to be used, but imo, they do if you want the paint to be more consistent from the outflow. Keep the lid on for this step and you'll be in business!! I hope you get tons of Enjoyment!!
@@GeekieGock Wow, thank you so much for the in depth responses this has been really helpful and I think I will buy them! Thank you so much again and I hope you have a great day!!

The fact that it still amazes me whenever I do artworks or see someone like you to do artwork using a lot of marker colors just to draw something with 4 to 5 colors in real life... Changing the eyes of the bunny starting from here 5:02 was relatable tho..
I truly loved all these drawings, especially the one with the scene of the two bunnies ! the lineart with similar colours makes everything look so magical, I wanna try it ! I rly like these markers, feel like they would be my go to medium - sucks I don't have access to them :/
which markers are better, the 60B or 60A? i would like to order for my birthday but only one set. I was looking through colors and i am not a fan of the metalic ones but the other colors still look good. So i just genuinely want to know a honest opinion from anyone that had tried them out. Thanks for any kind of feedback!
The spread came out so cute. 🥰 I hate to gesso just because if I want to paint I want to paint NOW 😅 but gesso would stop that bleed through also it would have made the colors pop out more. I love the sinister bunnies up top and the story made it even better heh 😏
I’m going to buy these soon, but my style is really blendy… would you recommend these markers for that? I also really like gouache too, and I’m still able to keep my style with that medium, (but a girl must expand..)
You absolutely can blend them but it does risk damaging the nibs if you do it too much (this is mostly based on what I've heard other people say, I try to avoid blending it so don't know 100%) I hope you enjoy them if you do get them ❤
I was wondering if you could make a video comparing both of the arttx pens (the 60 packs). Is it worth buying both since I’ve seen duplicates of the same colors in each pack. I think there’s about 36 matches of two of the same colors with both boxes
I could certainly look into making one at some point. I have a busy schedule at the moment but if I remember once it's cleared a bit then I might 😁 as for now though I'd recommend just getting one box or the other. Last I checked the price for these pens aren't bad (around £1 per pen I think?) but each box has a really deccent range and what one box doesn't have it makes up for with other colours 👌 and like you said there are quite a few doubles so it would probablky be more cost effective to buy one of these bigger sets and then look into getting one of the smaller sets to go with it 😁 that's just my opinion though😊
I say drawing the same way and, living America, people don’t usually understand what I am saying. I am literally 100% American but that British accent is there? 😂 Edit: I love Bonnie 😂 FNaF is everything

Not to be that person, but just for future reference: rabbits don’t have paw pads. I know you used the wooden cut out for reference so the blame is more on whoever made that hehe. Love your art by the way!
ayy, always nice to see people giving out this fun fact /vpos, (weird how some people, expecially people who make these easter-themed stuff to sell assume rabbits have pawpads lmao, nope, just fluff)
Stupid question and I feel like you have answered it somewhere already but do these pens bleed through the pages ? I have been looking for markers that dont bleed through for ages.
I've tried them on a couple types of paper, they bleed through a little on printer paper but so far in my sketchbook (either 140 or 150 g/m) and on cardstock there has been no bleedthrough 😊😊
To be fair i also saw the bunny as having his arms behind his back when you saw it and didn’t see the small arm version till you pointed out. New optical illusion debate. Also the paint on the eggs not working well could be because of the materials coating repelling water so of you do this again probably sand them. That being said all the art in the video turned out amazing your artis so cool
I'm glad I'm not the only one then 😁 and that's such a good point, they might have needed sanding though they did end up looking okay considering I didn't, but sanding probably would've made it a lot easier 😂❤
The fact I JUST BOUGHT these markers , thank you for testing these out! ❤ would you say these layer well? Or do they eat through the paper, though I’m guessing with a thicker paper they wouldn’t do that
They layer super well. The faces I show at the end are on printer paper and it holds up super well. It distorts the paper a little (coz y'know, printer paper) and it did bleed through the back a bit, I'm annoyed I forgot I wanted to show that in the vid 😮💨 But yeah, didn't bleed through my sketchbook paper which is either 140 g/m or 150 g/m 😁 I hope you have fun with yours ❤
