Me too, but first time catching up watching "old" vids! I have my own wild deer family, got sucked in by the love, from both sides! I'm stuck in early-fawn season, so harder to visit my sweet matriarch Zoe..she's busy being a good Momma..about August she will "soft introduce" me to her little ones..her twins from last year, Rosie & Buster are love buds, but they are kept back too.. Does have a serious job in the first 4 months, anxious times! Then gets easier🥰

Jimmy, you’re lucky that was a wild buck. There was a handful of times in my zoo director career that I was truly in danger and a whitetail buck in rut was involved in one of them. We actually just started sawing off all the bucks horns as soon as they came out of velvet after that. Sadly, you’ll have to make that decision about Milburn next year or the year after. In the state of Alabama it’s now illegal for anyone without a permit to keep deer as pets anymore due to the death of several people because of rut crazed pet bucks. A vet can easily turn Milburn into a forever tame buck by taking the family jewels so to speak. That has to be done before he starts growing his next set of antlers in the spring. Actually, it should be done this winter before he drops his nubs. If you wait till spring, the testosterone in his system will help him grow that first rack which may never come out of velvet or they may actually harden. In either case, the antlers will never fall off. I once fixed a pet deer for a friend who didn’t want her baby to become dangerous to her or to become a dad as she had 2 pet does also. That buck kept his 4 pt rack for 15 years until his death. Just a little wisdom from my life. God bless you and thank goodness that big buck didn’t hurt Lucy and here’s hoping Milburn comes home too.

Donna * Lovin’ Texas I’m so sorry for the devastation that buck caused. Deer in the rut are some of the most dangerous animals on the planet. Most people laugh when I say that, but they’ve never actually seen a buck that’s rut crazy. Especially if they have been raised by people. Gods hand of protection was over Jimmy and his family when that wild buck stayed around the house waiting on Lucy. Again, I’m so very sorry about your son’s friends grandfather; it’s the things that we don’t think are dangerous that sometimes are the most. God bless you and your family always.

You might be outside someday when he’s in rut and not see him coming. If you keep him around, it might be a good idea to carry a handgun when you’re outside, in case you get attacked.

Glad you got Lucy back. To lose your dog and then Lucy would be a very sad and heavy load to bear. I lost my over 18 year old dog 10 days ago and I am still not over it. Love you too Jimmy keep up the good work.

Haha, Jimmy if your channel takes a vacation we have a lot of catching up to do! I boarded&subscribed 10~11 months ago or so, when you had ⅕the subscribers! (..before Lucy FULLY took over daily "content" production from you guys!🤣🥰🤩👍) HAHA! Lucy walked as a peacemaker, she warmed so many hearts, showed so much hope and joy to the world, connected more people to peace and each other.. thanks to RUclips for being the great distribution vehicle @ the right time.. She wasn't one of my deer, but connected ALL of our families..& I miss her so much, even though I have my own sweet wild deer family.. My sweet 5yr old Zoe is busy being a good momma, not letting her twins imprint on people. We got an hour to sit together, but she was still anxious, & I have to respect her "job" Good news is that she is marking the woodlot "safety-trail" @ church where I work (near food and water)- she's making "connect the dots" through the heart of her territory. We learn more every day🥰🦌 God bless!

He is also known for his Jimmy Houston Blue blockers, special outdoor sunglasses. He was one of my favs to watch cause he was always happy and always catching fish non stop, very entertaining!

God blessed you all to. Caleb's and bass pro shop got good stuff for fishing and everything else for the outdoors. I was at caleb's and bass pro shop Saturday. Buying fishing stuff. A couple rods 16 and 14 feet long poles for fishing.

My sweet 5yr old Zoe is busy being a good momma, not letting her twins imprint on people. We got an hour to sit together, but she was still anxious, & I have to respect her "job"
Good news is that she is marking the woodlot "safety-trail" @ church where I work (near food and water)- she's making "connect the dots" through the heart of her territory.

Hi Jimmy. So gad you got Lucy back home safe! I lost a number of my furry friends during the hunting season this year, but still have 15-20 that come visit me almost every day. I have a crazy amount of new male fawns this year! Four fawns have let me pet them, and the others are getting closer. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas! :-)))
