i remember first listening to this song when i was about 15, a good 9 years ago i think, was lying in bed listening to a phonics tape made by my cousin! stayed up till early hours listening to it over and over! awesome cover! long live the stereophonics
A stunning rare stereophonics song, I didn't know either that it wasn't their own but makes no odds to me it's a fantastic song and one of my all time favourites. Yes both as a phonics song and overall.
I honestly didn't know this was The Eagles until today - but then again - I haven't heard it since I bought the single in 1997. First heard by The Eagles - since then - today! Love this version.
I thought I had heard all of the songs Stereophonics had done, but there's always new stuff to discover!! Wow, this is a great cover! Thanks for posting.
Thanks, yeah i know its the Eagles, i meant on the production side, have a listen to any song on meat loafs bat out of hell and you will see what i mean.
Nice song of course, but it think it's too similar to the original one. In my opinion, when making a cover, you have to catch the essence of the song and then add something of your own to it. This is a pretty exact copy of the original, piano and everything...
by far the most underrated singer ever in my opion kelly is one of the best of all time. Sterophonics also one of the best bands ever
Was going to listen to The Eagles original and came across this marvellous version of a classic Don Henley vocal. Thank you
this is not a patch on Henley, awful version
Love the part. They call it paradise.... I DONT KNOW WHY? kelly is such a stud.Always been my favorite Eagles song.

Dave Cash no way is it better than the original still good
Yes tomo.
This is so so good, did Jim Steinman have anything to do with the original ?, just sounds like one of his,, thanks for posting this
I agree ... Kelly's voice fits the song very well - at least as good as Don Henleys, doesn't it ;)
B-side to local boy in the photograph, could be difficult to get now tho.
@GatoWales
Best Eagles Song!
Lol, this was one of the b-sides for local boy.
Did the producer play piano on this, as Kelly can't play piano?
cant argue with you babbit. :)
