i’m pakistani too but in my house we speak only fusHa arabic and few words of arabic dialect .. this is better for the kids to pick it up faster and so the move to an arabic country will be easier
Language is oral, speaking is the default . The baseline . Speaking constantly even about ordinary mundane things changes your brain to think in that language , which in the case of Arabic would deepen one’s relationship with the Quran and Hadith , shari’ah etc
With arabic it’s different you gotta learn nahw and sarf so you can compose your words and sentences, I did understand the quran at 95% but since my brain is thinking in french and i couldn’t know the difference between muslimin and muslimun ect until i started nahw Make du’a for me

To be honest i get very frustrated whem trying to read a book in arabic specially books written by Ibn Taymiyah or ibn Qayyim Rahimahullaah and i get stuck. I try hard to figure out what word it would be specially ism. I have done basic and intermimediat level arabic. I just want to read fluently schoakrly books. Will i be able to do that if i sign up here? I don't like just listening recording. I want an interactive live session classes.
The books from 800 years ago in Arabic are going to be difficult because the language is very vast and this is why contemporary scholars explain these books from history and write books to explain. Don’t be disappointed and also the vocabulary in the old books is not commonly used today so you will be disappointed. My teacher in Arabic is now a Professor and told me Taraikh Tabari will be difficult e en for him to read so don’t worry. Ensure you can read contemporary books.
