What a beautiful instrument! It is outstanding in its plainness! I like to watch your expression when you play, as it telegraphs your feelings, and you were just glowing! Lovely ukulele and great review!
When you reviewed this aNueNue I had not even thought of buying a Ukulele. Have been learning and playing for just over four months now and found this review about a month ago when I was considering buying a " proper" instrument. What I bought was similar and from the GaU selling website. Bought an ASOS ASRIII in perfect condition with the clear water stringset on it. You are not wrong, these Ukes are really value for money and moreover such a joy to play. I would describe the tone as " Harplike " and crystal clear. Definitely not all chinese ukuleles are equal. So love these aNueNue. Definitely as near perfection as I'll ever need to get.
aNueNue are some of the highest scoring models out of all my reviews. I always consider them something of a 'one in the eye' for the people who claim all Chinese instruments are rubbish!
@@GotAUkulele many of the well known and we'll thought of brands have their instruments made in China. The problem seems to be with the cheap I ports coming direct on the the big two internet sellers. Although apart from the one I commented on to you a few days ago I have a Donner concert which I can't fault except as I progressed I found my paws needed a little more room. I've a Kala Baritone with a set of Ken Middleton strings which I have tuned to give GCEA with a low A to keep the bar sound but the standard chord shapes . It too is made in China but is an excellent instrument which I purchased from SUS but you get what you pay for and it was a lot pricier than the little Donner.
I like the cedar and mahogany . . . and the slotted headstock. Oh that tone! Sweet ukulele. Perhaps my favorite of all the ukes you've reviewed. Thanks once again.
nice channel, just getting started in Ukes, this one is beautiful but out of range at this point. Will check your other reviews for something more in my budge. What is the fingerpicking tune that you use in your reviews? Real nice. Thank you Ed
Hi Barry,do you know width at the nut? I'm playing a Famous Soprano FS3 and I'm thinking on buy a concert uke soon, moreover, how is the shape of the neck?, could It be compared to mine?
Great video as always. I also prefer the head stock, it would look better with Gotoh Stealth tuners but that would bump the price up. Top marks fella 😁😀
pronunciation is roughly "ahh new-ay-new-ay", with stress on the initial a. The a is supposed to have a stress mark over it when properly spelled, but we don't have that in the english character set.
If I didn't already have a Moon Bird Tenor, I'd probably be placing an order for this one. I hope aNueNue can expand their almost-nonexistent distribution in the United States. If they can increase production and maintain the same quality, they could become a major player in the US market.
I think they are being cautious. They were quite big almost 10 years back but spread themselves too thin, dropped quality control and lost a lot of dealers. I think they are keeping it more manageable this time around and it shows in the product quality
At present their own Asian market is taking up the majority of production. They are trickling some through to Hawaii Music Supply, plus I can ship to the US.
@@GotAUkulele I try not to buy Chinese made products as a personal protest against the way they persecute the Buddhist and worst still the Falun Gong, total evil acts against humanity.
@@rmarlin Principles like that are admirable. If you dig deep though you will find lots of reasons not to support production in other countries too of course - my own included. Ultimately though these are just businesses like any other trying to make a buck. More accurately though, aNueNue are Taiwanese, manufactured in China and Japan.
I think the simple quality construction is actually more attractive than the more decorative and expensive model. What a stunner!!
Crowblack think I agree with ya!

Thanks Chuck
Wow, it sounds beautiful! Thanks for the review!
My pleasure!
Thank you for your response. Be well. 😊
The tone of this Uke is just lovely and simple looks are sometimes the best. Great review.. hope you feel better soon. 🤒😊

Thanks Edward!
Love your reviews Barry, How do you like it's tone compare to Moon Bird, does it sounds more pleasant? Warmer of course, and I like the slotted head.
James S different and warmer but still excellent - beyond that it’s all about personal preference
Watching. Hahaha.
Amazing build and tone. Great review!
Yeah. A truly great uke
I hope you feel better soon!
Thank you. Getting there!
Sounds lovely! Wish it comes with a rosette tho
I like plain, but the lack of rosette is part of the cost saving
Hey Mister. Wonderful vibes on your channel I just discovered. I wanted to know how do you afford all of those ?
I can't! 99% of them are just loaned to me by the brands to write about - then they get sent back
Love Anuenue Moon Bird. Have you compared the Moon Bird with the Super Lani? Thanks for your reviews!
juddee maxwell not played a Super Lani I’m afraid
I've tried the Super Lani but definitely think the ASOS series or Moon Birds represent better value, despite being more expensive.

David 37mm but 29mm string spacing. But narrower than the Famous but same sort of string spacing
Lovely tone....thank you for the video..
My pleasure
Sounds gorgeous finger picked. I am not a fan of lots of bling so this is beautiful to me.
Have some garlic and propolis
Yeah - it's right up my street too. Garlic and hot curry on the way!

@@WorldofUkes I got mine through HMS. They don't seem to stay in stock very long, even at the premium price point.
Great review, as always. Be well.
Thank you
Love that is simple :)
I do too!
Thats a serious Ukelele.
Sounds great finger picked but Iv heard better strummed...thanks from the Cherokee Nation
I’d agree. Certainly leans towards a pickers instrument
Whiskey , try gargling with whiskey
Keith Hicks good call!
Never!!
Did u say made in China? No thanks...
Robert Marlin why?
