I think eveyone myself included got the wrong impression at first when it came out. EDIT: Also the author of Ohoi no ko , also did Kaguya Sama: Love is war, and is set in the same world. That Manga actually make an appearance in it for one episode.
Seeing the star in Aqua's eyes show when he is tapping into the Dark Side is like watching Sith yellow eyes appear in Star Wars. The Mirror held darkly against the idol industry of the show is peak.
