Last year I made a two-color quilt with 8" blocks, using the original pineapple trim tool, and it really turned out nice. As soon as I heard about the skinny trim tool, I bought it right away. I just finished a quilt using both the 6 and 12 inch blocks, with great results; the quilt really has that wow factor. I love these pineapple trim tools.

I have both these rulers and had no luck using them, so many lines on the rulers I could not figure out which ones to use any instructions I didn’t find very helpful. Your video gives me hope that I might try them again.

Try using colored tape along the lines that you are using.

I have both these rulers and tried using them and had to revert back to paper piecing just couldn’t figure out all the lines on the ruler and I didn’t find the instructions all that helpful. Your video gives me hope that I might be willing to give it a try again thank you.

Do you press your seams open or just to the outside?

When I use the trim tools I don’t press the seams open, only when joining the blocks and rows together. Hope this helps! 🧵
