1st boat crossed like like a PRO !
Watching the small boats are so much more exciting. It requires skills!!!!!
It requires a good boat first!
@@alessandrobacci2186 you dont need a good boat to know how to drive in conditions like this
@@yessuhyessuh2100???
That first captain is some kind of genius!!
That crossing was so smooth even with those waves!
Yea, its all about timing and patience. He did well. Most of the boaters I see on this channel are incompetent, and have more money than brains...
@@jmflyer55 And hardly any life jackets!
Trim setting too. Keep that boat on plane the entire time
I really enjoy watching these fun. Boat videos they are fun to watch
First clip guy did everything perfectly
I love watching these. I bought a 22ft 1988' Celebrity Cuddy last year and had my first season in Grand Haven, MI. Seeing this makes me wonder how I'd handle it. As an inexperienced boater, probably not well.
16:00 the police boat came in so smooth. Shows an abundance of experience :)
I don't know why, but I find this very relaxing to watch. Anyone considering buying a boat should watch a couple hours on this channel, it's truly a masterclass in seaworthiness, hull design, and poor decision making. And occasional excellent piloting skills. I have yet to figure out why some hull designs bang and lurch, and others just slice through the waves. Probably the dude at the wheel. Camera work is awesome by the way, beautifully clear, stable, nice tracking and framing.
Thanks
Jeff Gille I feel the same way. It’s kind of soothing, until you imagine yourself at the helm 🤣
I started watching this channel to get an idea of how my boat would handle. Now i just watch to unwind
The boat, Spellbound almost fouled up. This is one of your best offerings!
And why do they still have the riggers out? Makes no sense in a confined space inlet like this....
Rename it Runaground
@@ethanmcdowell9677 If the riggers were not out they would hit the bridge.
Nothing like seeing and testing boats of all shapes and sizes in haul over inlet
Great vid - thx. I especially like watching the smaller boats where skill really shows. I'm a river & lake boater so will never see anything like this, but watching theseI have taught me how to handle things when the wind brings up the waves and whitecaps.
Stay in the pub and have a few drinks amd leave the Bar . Crazy nutters going out. Ps
catamaran hull handles the rough conditions beter than a mono hull. Nice vid ⚓
In bound cop boat drove outstandingly!
The police boat did it flawless. Trimmed up and slow. Hats off homie
He was actually trimmed down, that’s a big difference. Bow up and nice and slow!
@@claritin62 trimmed up puts the bow up. Trimmed down pushes the bow down.
I like how this channel has only ambient sound.
Finally a captain that knows what the trim button is for.12:20
That guy in the little white and red Contender came in like a boss.
Wow that shot at the very end, Bro! 💯❤️
I love going WITH the waves, so cool
The guy in the Boston Whaler made it look WAY too easy...coasted in like a boss..
Great boats. Hey Thomas , don’t forget to Like the video & Subs. Much appreciated!
I've been in and out of there a few times. It can get a little sketchy. Timing and paying attention...
If you challenge the sea, it will always win...
Dusky 225/twin Suzukis 200's
C'est fou pareille: la mer est vraiment très très agitée et le vagues vont et viennent dans tous les sens !!! Toute qu'une mer !!!👍👀❤
We used to jump off the Haulover bridge when we were kids !!!
Dayum to see the way some of these big boats take the pounding is amazing
10:05 What a goon!
I hit the like button twice as you suggested and it took it away. So I left it like that.
Awesome video thanks for sharing. :o)
I also smashed like button twice... as requested - result was no like ;-)
Wow, Haulover has had some nasty seas lately! Great work.
Climate change the Canadian prime mistake Justin Trudeau told everyone that that's why all the liberal idiots voted this idiot back in
Wow! So rare to see a Smith 45 in the wild, one of my all time favorites! Great video!
Problem was the "Captain" had no clue how to run the inlet and as a result nearly broached the boat.
Cool video
Really enjoyed that. Thank you.
Smashin it bro smashin it
Thanks for filming
Nice to see a Haulover boating video that’s actually about the boating skills required, and not a titillating soft porn video like some other You Tube channels on the same subject🩱👙🚤🛥🙁☹️!
Horse Power at the finger tips Baby !
Gosh, the little lake boat with the maroon bimini. Are we having fun yet?
lake boats in rough seas..priceless
Looking at these boats makes me happy. Happy because I don't own one of these maintenance nightmares.
Love that lil red and white boat sneaking in at 5:55.
Boy am I late to subscribe over here. Feels great to do these types of things.
That first boat got in like a pro
great compilation
Captain Spicoli strikes again
Best I've seen
Not everyday is a boating day!
Holy shit ! Having been 'broached' and capsized (don't leave out 'pooped and pitchpoled'), this video could give me bad dreams....The kind where you find yourself completely submerged, and suddenly everything is all quiet as the deep water passes over the boat', and you wonder, is anyone still aboard but me?...
10:12 what a peanut 😂
i smashed the "like" button twice...the first smash "liked" the video. The second smash "unliked" the video...might want to change that so people just smash the like button once. no telling how many likes you've lost on that second smash. great video buddy
Well smash it again and it will re-like it.....
I've watched a number of your videos and am amazed that on such an obviously dangerous bar crossing ,I have yet to see anyone , even kids and adults bow riding , wearing any form of PFD . How many people fall overboard and/or drown here ?
That little break at the end 😂
My vote goes to the person helming the Whaler!
Looks like a nice day on the northeast coast, during fall or winter. 🙂
Dude at 6:34 is like can you chill with the pounding I’m trying to get a beer out the cooler
That Sea Ray at 4:30 cracks me up. He’s just jumping that thing. I have an old Cruisers Inc on Lake Erie, and I like the rough water performance a lot better than Rays. Gotta love old boats tho 😍
The Boston Whaler 27' Outrage is the only boat that I would want to be operating in those conditions!
I was hoping to see an Invincible mixed on this mess, I thought that would've made this video even more interesting. Anyways this is the worst I've seen this inlet since I've been watching these videos. Good Job.
Maby do a live stream like wavy boats did he did like a behind the Scenes just a thought 👍🏻 other wise keep the great work up
Umm.. after seeing this, would have to say No Thank you, I would almost immediately be over the side of the boat Hurling...LOL
It's all a sea: the waves come and go in all directions, so, not easy this raging sea !!! 👀👍❤
A little bumpy fellas. Seeing that Skip Jack in that inlet brings me back to the South Shore Long Island inlets, sweet. Now just throw in some Grady Whites and I'm back home. Great video...loving the rough seas
Long Island here.... Coram.. still sucks here
@@gewglesux Long Island was terrific growing up. 60's to 74. I think the politics are what sucks...right?
@@scottgorman7166 Currently, it's very expensive to live here. The Politics isn't as bad as it used to be but every once in a while a Corrupt official will get caught with his or her pants. down. Developers want to build- people don't want it to look like Queens NY... so there's opposition there. The water is poisoning people... that sorta thing... you ain't missing much.. I've heard the Island was a cooler place back then. I Partied here during the 80's clubs everywhere... not you have to go to the City- which i don't mind... even at 55.
Grew up in Copiague, 3 houses from the bay. It was great in the 70’s... great South Bay, to the Ocean beaches was so fun!
Those inlets were so crazy!
Bro if I smack the like button twice it removes my like lol
Iv been falling asleep to this shit everynight ... I have a problem lmao
Hooo Leee Shiiiit, Spellbound went for a ride!
that guy at 10:10 giving her the beans, hell yea!
I hope the captain of Spellbound appreciates how lucky he is.
He could drive that boat out in a tropical storm and turn the motors off and get beached. That boat ain't going over
@@heisenbeansgenetics I'd rather be on a jetski than on that boat.
And I hate jetskis.
That skipper's dangerous.
Any ideas why that captain steered parallel with the waves then turned back into the waves?
Great vids mate 😎👍🇦🇺 but I would use the terms skipper or captain loosely lol 😆, do they need to hold a recreational skippers ticket over there as they do here in Australia, so they at least show they have some knowledge at least ?
I was just there Monday and it was really bad for swimmers
The yacht Spellbound ,,, Is that considered a Trawler?
That outrage 240 has a super duper amazing deep V Hull! I've had one he could have went through that Inlet a lot faster that hull is just amazing! Heavy heavy boat though! And had mine 80 miles offshore got stuck in bad stuff no problem super comfortable just got to learn to work the trim tabs correctly
note to channel owner, if we smash the like button twice you WILL NOT get a like! on your video or is this your point lol
dwayne pothier haha I had the same thought
Having watched over a dozen of these short clips I can see that it isn't weather which causes those rough waves at Haulover Inlet, but those kinds of waves happen when the tide is either going out or coming in. It looks like the tide is going out in the beginning of this video. If I am wrong, then please inform me of what you believe is the cause of those waves. Thanks
Seems the best way to get through when it's rough like this is with speed.
Theres a sweet spot for each boat design you just have to know yours. And get the bow up slightly. And a little luck with the wave pattern of course.
So, so glad we boat on an inland lake. Our boats live an easy, freshwater, covered slip life here in Central Texas.
Heck make a big Spoil Island out there! LOL It'd be fun!
That first boat looks like me going into Dover. The tide comes down the English Channel and bounces off the sea wall leaving big holes in the water. We were regularly disappearing from view so they sent out the harbour patrol to get us in quickly through the eastern entrance, the one reserved for ferries. I was pressing on from Folkestone to Calais, but my 8 and 10 year old crew over-ruled, fortunately. We went at slack water next day.
2:13. good haul design. See how the water is thrown out?
Hitting it twice cancels the Like!! Just SAMAAASH ONCE!!
one thing i realize watching these videos is that my 21 ft grady doesnt seem to get thrown around a whole lot more than the big boys. im glad i saved about 80 grand plus and stayed in the 20 footer range. although twin screws sure would be nice.
Hey. We used to jump from the Palmetto Express Way and Tamiami Trail or 8th St. Into the Tamiami Canal. Oh Shit, live on Flagami Blvd fo 19 years. Haulover Inlet. Seen alot of bad shit happen there.
4.31 Whew, more balls than boat!
i wonder if u have some 80 footer or longer, yacht going through these rough inlet at speed
Would be ok 6-8 “ tops
Does anyone know how to best cross this bar? Or is everyone just winging it? I saw a NZ video about crossing a big bar but it did not appear to have anything that might pertain to Haulover... Also, how come no one flies a drone over this boat traffic?
Born in Hialeah and grew up in Coral Gables and the Grove and even worked at the Four Seasons down the road but I haven't been back in almost 40 year. I'm going down in a month for a visit and I have one odd question. .... where can I park to fish on the same side of the inlet as you film? I did pass through a few years ago and Rickenbacker Causeway where I grew up fishing is no more. Growth sure changed the flavor of Miami. Never mind...
@Roger Rarebit Here Here!! :)
Spellbound= Swellbound
You do know that if you hit the "like" or "dislike" button twice, the second hit removes the previous hit.
It is me, or do the same guys (boats) go in and out every day?
Those are the real boaters! Wind and spray in the face is a good thing.
Yes that yaught at 21.07 was definitely up to no good !
Great whilst the engine runs, and then !!!!!
4:30 Is it Sea Ray 230 Sandancer ??
As long as Florida has Beer there will never be anything like a "Small Craft" advisory....much less PFD's.....
No buggy, inlets are rough with the right conditions, bottom line good boat and good captain, not a big deal and actually, fun
Now you know where the term " Got your sea legs on", it's a small "e" ticket free fall elevator ride. Two feet forward 5 stories down, 2' forward 7 stories down, 2' forward " honey go get the snacks".
End of video says "Thank You" -- I say "You're welcome Better yet,Thank YOU!!"
Great work, what kind of camera are you using?
Panasonic cx 350
skippers why not trimming bow boat up with motor
Police made that smooth ride in! I reckon it is their job though.
11:15, hanging on for dear life back there!
jpat99 he’s been in a number of haulover clips and every time he is stuffing that boat! Terrible
@@jeffduncan2942 not into the jetty though
Mean looking stir
Captain of SPELLBOUND must have been on his first outing in something with a motor.
Everyone's approach, Head On, my approach, turn around and go the back way.
Loser Squad HD 123 what boat you got let’s see you on the inlet then looking forward to seeing the footage 👌
@@mrwolf9335 ive done haulover when its bad in a Cobia 296 among others and unless your momentum is high enough or you going with the current you will be fighting those waves for quite a while as seen in the video, so common sense says go the back way.
