I don't know why, but I find this very relaxing to watch. Anyone considering buying a boat should watch a couple hours on this channel, it's truly a masterclass in seaworthiness, hull design, and poor decision making. And occasional excellent piloting skills. I have yet to figure out why some hull designs bang and lurch, and others just slice through the waves. Probably the dude at the wheel. Camera work is awesome by the way, beautifully clear, stable, nice tracking and framing.
I love watching these. I bought a 22ft 1988' Celebrity Cuddy last year and had my first season in Grand Haven, MI. Seeing this makes me wonder how I'd handle it. As an inexperienced boater, probably not well.
Great vid - thx. I especially like watching the smaller boats where skill really shows. I'm a river & lake boater so will never see anything like this, but watching theseI have taught me how to handle things when the wind brings up the waves and whitecaps.
Stay in the pub and have a few drinks amd leave the Bar . Crazy nutters going out. Ps catamaran hull handles the rough conditions beter than a mono hull. Nice vid ⚓

Nice to see a Haulover boating video that’s actually about the boating skills required, and not a titillating soft porn video like some other You Tube channels on the same subject🩱👙🚤🛥🙁☹️!
Holy shit ! Having been 'broached' and capsized (don't leave out 'pooped and pitchpoled'), this video could give me bad dreams....The kind where you find yourself completely submerged, and suddenly everything is all quiet as the deep water passes over the boat', and you wonder, is anyone still aboard but me?...
Does anyone know how to best cross this bar? Or is everyone just winging it? I saw a NZ video about crossing a big bar but it did not appear to have anything that might pertain to Haulover... Also, how come no one flies a drone over this boat traffic?
Having watched over a dozen of these short clips I can see that it isn't weather which causes those rough waves at Haulover Inlet, but those kinds of waves happen when the tide is either going out or coming in. It looks like the tide is going out in the beginning of this video. If I am wrong, then please inform me of what you believe is the cause of those waves. Thanks
I've watched a number of your videos and am amazed that on such an obviously dangerous bar crossing ,I have yet to see anyone , even kids and adults bow riding , wearing any form of PFD . How many people fall overboard and/or drown here ?
That Sea Ray at 4:30 cracks me up. He’s just jumping that thing. I have an old Cruisers Inc on Lake Erie, and I like the rough water performance a lot better than Rays. Gotta love old boats tho 😍
i smashed the "like" button twice...the first smash "liked" the video. The second smash "unliked" the video...might want to change that so people just smash the like button once. no telling how many likes you've lost on that second smash. great video buddy
Great vids mate 😎👍🇦🇺 but I would use the terms skipper or captain loosely lol 😆, do they need to hold a recreational skippers ticket over there as they do here in Australia, so they at least show they have some knowledge at least ?
I was hoping to see an Invincible mixed on this mess, I thought that would've made this video even more interesting. Anyways this is the worst I've seen this inlet since I've been watching these videos. Good Job.
That outrage 240 has a super duper amazing deep V Hull! I've had one he could have went through that Inlet a lot faster that hull is just amazing! Heavy heavy boat though! And had mine 80 miles offshore got stuck in bad stuff no problem super comfortable just got to learn to work the trim tabs correctly

I did pass through a few years ago and Rickenbacker Causeway where I grew up fishing is no more. Growth sure changed the flavor of Miami. Never mind...
I'm not a boater, but I have to say, apparently some people do not check weather conditions before they go out. Don't some people know the capability of their boat? There were a few almost accidents here. Again, I claim to know little to nothing.
That first boat looks like me going into Dover. The tide comes down the English Channel and bounces off the sea wall leaving big holes in the water. We were regularly disappearing from view so they sent out the harbour patrol to get us in quickly through the eastern entrance, the one reserved for ferries. I was pressing on from Folkestone to Calais, but my 8 and 10 year old crew over-ruled, fortunately. We went at slack water next day.
one thing i realize watching these videos is that my 21 ft grady doesnt seem to get thrown around a whole lot more than the big boys. im glad i saved about 80 grand plus and stayed in the 20 footer range. although twin screws sure would be nice.

GAIR-PLANES LLC the bow thruster is a tube with a propeller in the middle. It is used when docking or in tight maneuvering situations. Watching the small boats are so much more exciting. It requires skills!!!!!
It requires a good boat first!

Jeff Gille I feel the same way. It’s kind of soothing, until you imagine yourself at the helm 🤣

I really enjoy watching these fun. Boat videos they are fun to watch
The boat, Spellbound almost fouled up. This is one of your best offerings!
And why do they still have the riggers out? Makes no sense in a confined space inlet like this....
Rename it Runaground

Wow that shot at the very end, Bro! 💯❤️
