    I hate how people are trying to compare a moab to a nuclear bomb even though a nuclear bomb is so many times bigger and other factors come as well with them. They are two extremely different things

      Bearded Dragon Sir true, but it never ends. Trump will find an excuse to use it. Perhaps poor Ivanka will find something else that breaks her heart. Daddy will make it alright and bomb North Korea.

      Steve Johnson Trump hasn't even finished doing the budget. Where are the millions going to come from to build these bombs? He will cut healthcare, education, and welfare programs. The uneducated Trump supporters will be fine with this until it affects them directly.

      "You had to learn by playing a video game. Such a sad state of affairs in our education system."
      Video games are the best and most recent development in education.
      You think the disgusting stone age COMPULSORY schools make any sense at all? You are living so far in the past you may as well say you support slavery. Really that is all compulsion to a specific institution is anyway. I don't understand how people can know of the internet, virtual reality, and still think schools need to exist. Especially in a FREEDOM loving country like the USA where a passive government education program that includes libraries coupled with parks would have made more sense to begin with.
      It is so SAD that you HAD to learn lifting and yoga moves from the RUclips videos you liked on your channel. If only there was a COMPULSORY SCHOOL system that took you away from you life to teach it to you instead letting you learn on your own time and in your own home.
      It is clear to me that Ivan Altamirano lives life to the fullest and that you are the sad one.

    If the target was a network of underground tunnels and caves, isn't there a bomb that's more appropriate, the MOP or something? The MOAB is exploded before it reaches the ground and will mostly blast what's on the surface, even if the shockwaves are so gigantic that they will also reach underground and apparently break windows 2 miles away from the point of impact.

      Simon the bomb was built in 2003. Theyre testing it on the enemy.

    • @KiwiHobbitful
      @KiwiHobbitful 7 лет назад +3

      Brunz626 - I am concerned that in 2003 it was thought a big-big bomb should be made (cos it could be made), and then 14 years later a 'reason' was found to use it. To me it's the tale wagging the dog, which is very troubling given we are dealing with weapons.

    • @brunz6265
      @brunz6265 7 лет назад +7

      Simon the thing is, we've been dropping bombs for years now. The reason they wanted to use this specific one was explained. They wanted to see if the caves would collapse. I mean at the end of the day, it is a terrorist group.

    • @austinkoprivec8
      @austinkoprivec8 7 лет назад +5

      Simon that statement was so stupid. Those bombs were made 50 to 60 years ago they didn't just make it. If you would listen to the video you would actually hear that they state that.

    Yes to add to the discussion on the British 22,000lb Grand Slam earthquake bomb this was carried by modified Lancaster bombers that had the mid upper turret removed. Didn't have to be pinpoint accurate as the blast and particularly the shockwave destroyed everything in the vicinity.

  • @richardmichael6937
    @richardmichael6937 7 лет назад +1

    Sounds like the 22,000 lb Grand Slam bomb developed by Barnes Wallis used by the RAF in WW11. Called an earthquake bomb because of the enormous shock wave generated. Used to sink the Tirpitz and destroy the underground u-boat pens etc.

    • @DanielDaniel-jj3ny
      @DanielDaniel-jj3ny 7 лет назад

      +TheChairman48504 Dude, I'm an American and I don't drink vodka. So back to reality, if I ask you, "what do you think" then you would have to give me an assumption or an opinion. If I were to say, "prove to me," then you would have to give me facts. go back and count how many times they said the word "think," or asked, "what do you think." That type of conversation is considered gossip, drama, propaganda, soliciting, etc. All they want is to assume without any facts and no serious respect should be given to that type of conduct, expecially calling themselves a credited news source. For an example, would you rather get the facts about, say your wife cheeting on you from a beauty parlor, or from a factual credited source with proof? Would you honestly listen to an assumption as to where your wife might go to tomorrow? Or would you rather leave that left unassumed and go with the hard facts.

    • @lukewilliams6083
      @lukewilliams6083 7 лет назад

      Most of this was fact with very few opinions, and those were expert opinions. Most of the first half was explaining the uses for the type of bomb used. The second half mostly talked about why they used the bomb.

      Mary Barsaloux No they didn't. Why would they approve of civilians being killed, people do live there and there have been casualties. These people say if some people are killed, no big deal. Really? If it were America would they say that? They act like people in other countries have lives that are less valuable. Sick of it.
