This resonates very strongly with me! I have been an artist all my life, but in recent years the grind took over as I never made it as a rockstar, now I do many soulless things with my skills and , all of which I have nourished through always being true to my self and working hard with passion and drive in my youth, but somehow the need to exist in this fucking circus took over and now I feel far from where I should be in my life with the reflection of my true self disappearing into the distance as the mask I must wear to make the bread to feed myself and my family everyday becomes harder to rip off... finding UC and embarking on that journey has brought me back though to something more meaningful. thank you for all you do! massive respect! you could do even small steps to feel you have good things going on, like put some of your songs onto RUclips, even just filmed onto your phone
and to me you are a winner if you have a family and a partner who loves you.. do you know how blessed you are to have that? it might seem mundane to you but I'd give so much to have my family i had hoped to have

i think that is one of the key things, we often don't have the power to control events but we can choose how we respond to them (it can help to plan responses in advance too, for things we know could happen, such as if someone is being aggressive or bugging etc, or what our plan will be to respond to a tough day and to ger out focus onto positive good steps we can do to build things up)
