We used to sing this every morning in elementary School. I was bussed, & Thank God. At, 63 my love of country stands strong, regardless of current day climate.
So beautiful! So special! So wonderful! Thank you so much Jesus Christ today again specially! For Supporting and Connecting endlessly ! All the grace and the glory to our God Almighty the Father Jesus Christ our Lord today again specially! Thank you so much for sharing! God bless all! God bless AMERICA!
Every morning in first, second, and third grades the teacher would take attendance; she would lead us in "The Pledge of Allegiance", and then we would all sing this song. Nixon was president. The culture and the country were aflame (sometimes literally). My mother would have us watch the TV as the American POW's were returned home from Vietnam, as well as Nixon's resignation speech. My father was working 70 hours a week to keep our family happy and thriving. I was too young to absorb the true gravity of all these things, but I was made aware of them. I knew that bad things were happening, yet I still felt that I was a part of something greater, something good. I was made to feel warm and safe, not just within my family, but within the American culture itself. Starting off each school day with these rituals was comforting and inclusive. We were being taught to be individuals, definitely, yet we felt a loose, but strong connection to a collective whole. The civil rights era was hitting its' stride, and a bright future looked probable. We were imbued with a sense of unity, without the sternness of conformity. I fear that young people now are deprived of this. I am alarmed about them being taught to be jaded and cynical, to view their country as something to lash out against. They are not given a balanced frame of reference by which to view their country. They know nothing of The Marshall Plan, or the rebuilding of Japanese industry after the war, for instance. They are deprived of a sense of pride and hopefulness for a country that has made horrible mistakes, yet still strives to be and do better. I love my country and my fellow citizens, warts and all. This song fills me with grateful pride, and I feel privileged to have been a part of it.
God bless you americans i love you all jesus love continue to protect my world you are the change i want bless you all your a strong helping hand that me and god loves you are the flag i love thank you jesus thanks you your country thanks you
@@295g295 The Star Spangled Banner spans a wider vocal range than a lot of other songs, from very low notes to very high notes. It's considered a difficult song because people who have the vocal range to hit the low notes at the beginning of the song may not have the vocal range to hit the high notes later in the song, and vice versa.
God save our gracious Queen! Long live our noble Queen! God save the Queen! Send her victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us: God save the Queen!
Our farther’s God to Thee Author of liberty to Thee we sing Long May our land be bright with liberty’s holy light Protect us by Thy might. Great God our King
My country ’tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land here my father’s died, land of the Pilgrim’s pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring!
How many schools in this great country is this song taught ? Why then are the words forgotten ? Like our pledge of allegiance it seems those important words are forgotten. The battle hymn of the republic and God bless America. I dont understand the terrible things many children are doing. Guess I was raised different. The man who delivered milk to our door , The patrolmen who passed by every day. The garbage men in uniforms who emptied our metal cans every morning. These civil servants provided a strong foundation The farmers who rose early and worked hard into late evening. Ranch hands herding cattle. The folks who sang the Lords prayer every morning on the radio. These people helped to make this country great. Where are they now ? Why is the media so focused on our ills and not our heros ? Fire fighters , police officers , ER staff . Folks I'm happy are out there. Real heros ! Come on! let's make movies or TV shows about them.
Sweet Land of Liberty? Let Freedom Ring? If only it was.... That said....this is a very beautiful song and well sung. As an American born in the USA, I wish the lyrics remain true forever.
15 other countries had this as their national anthem at some time.France was the first in the 1600s followed by Uk and then Prussia then Austria ad a lot of other countries
They forgot this part of the song, the most important part : Our fathers' God to Thee, Author of liberty,To Thee we sing. Long may our land be bright,With freedom's holy light, Protect us by Thy might,Great God our King.
We have to sing this song in choir by ourselves without the music whoever wants tot try out for audistic choir im scared i cant sing but i love singing so im gonna do it
Why didn't they include the last verse? "Our father's God to, Thee, Author of liberty, To Thee we sing. Long may our land be bright With freedom's holy light; Protect us by Thy might, Great God, our King!"
We need this anthem now more than ever ! All of our peaceful protester get out and sing this in front of every state capitol! Antifa got more leniency from our politicians and police than any law abiding patriotic American ? Can you see where we are headed with the help of our main stream media . 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😎👍🏼❤️
Shame for leaving out the 4th and best Verse, which speaks to Whom we owe our Freedom. Our fathers' God to Thee, Author of liberty, To Thee we sing. Long may our land be bright, With freedom's holy light, Protect us by Thy might, Great God our King.

If u start low, u can handle the higher notes, but if u start too high, the high notes are a strain (for most of us normal ppl😅!).

Probably because its a little silly to sing about a being that probably doesnt exist
