Kirstjen Nielsen can have dinner at a Mexican restaurant again when we have returned to a place where we all show some empathy. For her to be served food by people that might well be relatives of the kids she is locking up in cages is well beyond the pale. It is hard to believe the restaurant did not refuse to serve her. Maybe they did not recognize her. If I had been in the restaurant. I would have joined the protesters.

Cenk my problem with your argument is that we are talking crimes against humanity. Please consider Milgrams' research, how we protest is very important. Protestations within the "acceptable" boundaries gives the wrong doers the leverage to say what they are doing isn't so bad because if it was we'd be protesting wildly. So when the wrong is wild and not at all civilized a high response may be needed to cement the seriousness in people's minds. Although there will be shamers and disapproval for it I think it's better to not care too much when the matter is so immensely important. It's the basic rules of civilization.
