Fixed! Use USB C to USB 2. At first I used USB C to USB 3 on my desktop PC but that did not work. Tried different ports and when I pluged it in USB 2 worked like a charm :)

I switched my USB cord and made sure it was in the right spot and it still won't update.

I just tried doing this over 5 times, and all and doesn't work for me, even manually adding the file update
That is all I know, and that info came from their tech support :( try reaching out to them and see what they say?

Unplug and plug it back in or try restarting your computer. I had the same issue as well at some point and that worked for me.
