Jacob, I really connected with what you said when talking about the pink elephant. Your videos are fun because you remind us to just enjoy the simple things of life...a fun roadside attraction, fun-themed restaurants, gas station snacks, unique historical markers, etc. So many people just drive past these things without giving them much thought. Your channel is a great reminder to stop and smell the roses and appreciate the little things and that the journey IS the destination. Cheers!

Hey Jacob ! Don't you worry about taking some time off. You are such a blessing to my husband, more than I can say here. My husband is no longer able to walk due to Myotonic Dystrophy. We don't have TV but he watches a little amazon TV all day, mostly RUclips. You, my friend are his highlight of every day. How he enjoys your travels.You take him places he can no longer go but he is just as happy traveling around with you ! I'm here on my lap top, hearing about recent tough situations you are dealing with, and feel I must tell you the light, enjoyment and FUN you bring to my husband everyday is a HUGE blessing ! You Jacob, give him something to look forward to each day. I'm eternally grateful to you my friend. I am sure you bring just as much joy to others who travel along with you on your channel. God knows you are making such a difference in many lives...be ENCOURAGED ! You are loved ! Take rest as you need to. In reference to the BBQ sauce, store in a ziploc bag and utilize the refrigerator in your hotel, while in the car a small ice chest will get you by while traveling and you can also get the icebfrom the hotels

In Marquette, Iowa there is a pink elephant as well sitting by the roadside and her name is Pinky. She has a black top hat on her head and she was the mascot for the Pink Elephant Supper Club that was once there in the 1980s. Now she stands in front of a Casino named Lady Luck. I feel for you on The bbq sauce deal. I was their last week and had the same thing happen to me. I don't understand how they have little cups of every other condiment for free but bbq sauce has to be paid for. I also had issues with dunking the sausage in the bottle
So, a little about me: I love talking about food and all of its accoutrements. So I deeply felt the injustice of the Buccee’s bbq sauce. How do they want us to eat our road food?! And, honestly, not even a little soufflé cup to pour your portion in? Ugh! FYI with all of the sugar that’s probably in it, I’m sure it won’t go bad.

I loved when my family went to Tennessee or Florida and I could find the rock city barns. Left such an impression on me that I did a painting of an old barn with the see rock city add on it. Wish they would bring them back. Hope you go to Rock City sometime soon!

Bucees should have packets of BBQ sauce like Arby's has for their sauce.

I'm glad you are getting a few days at home, you certainly deserve it! I really enjoyed seeing the pink elephant and the Rock City barns. There's a fiberglass statue of Paul Bunyan in front of a old school diner on the side of the highway a couple of hours from me. Anytime my family are going by there we always say hello to Paul. Enjoy your rest!
Your videos give me a lift any time you post, so much so sometimes I save a week's worth to binge when I'm feeling low.
I ride to Buc-ees on my motorcycle every now and again on sunny days for lunch (it's 50 miles away). I did yesterday. I noticed all the name brand sodas were disabled with a note that supplies weren't available. Wierd. Noticed they didn't have the BBQ sauce cups anymore, but I bought a brisket sandwich and it was loaded.
Eating at Buc-ees is very awkward since no tables or plates or trays. If a picnic park is nearby then, OK, but typically Buc-ees is far from city parks or rest areas.
I'm wondering if Buc-ees overexpanded and has had to cut back like Krispy Kreme after the fad died down.
The food services director makes $144,000 according to the help wanted sign. Store manager $250,000. Woah. Guess that's where the condiment cups went.

At my age now - fireworks are a pain in the you know what when you are sleeping. And people in the neighborhood go on all night long.
Never expected you in my town of Cookeville. Saw the thumbnail with the Pink Elephant and went no way.
If you're ever back in Cookeville you will definitely have to go to/try Cream City Ice Cream, Ralph's Donuts, and Mini Burger. Cream City has an iconic neon sign and is a family owned business that has been here since 1890, the original building burned down in 1948 and a new one got built in 1950 which is still the location today. Ralph's donuts another Cookeville icon has been here since 1962 and is in the top ten of a lot of top ten's and top 25 best donut places in the US lists. Mini Burger is also another Cookeville icon and has been here many years.
I had the same thought! I saw the pink elephant and was like "What's he doing here of all places!?"
He should check out the cookeville city scape website and buy himself a pink elephant ornament!

$3.00 is a great price for a bottle of BBQ Sauce. They need to sell a mini, single use bottle of sauce for about $1.00. I also have an old Jim Harrison print from the 1970's of an Old Barn with "See Rock City" painted on the roof. Your video brought back some happy memories of when I used to ride up to our yearly family reunion at the Mathis Dairy in Decatur, Georgia with my grandfather. I also saw advertisements for Mail Pouch Tobacco, Morton Salt, and Coca-Cola.

This is just an FYI, you would think that Bukees would have packets of their barbecue sauce just like ketchup or mustard, but that’s a whole other subject at the same time. Do you have a cooler? because if you have a cooler for extra drinks along the way the stuff that we don’t see. Perhaps you can put that barbecue sauce in the cooler on ice at least that will last you for a while till you get home or until you get to wherever you’re going just an FYI enjoy your videos. keep up the good work take care and be safe.🤠.

When I seen the pink elephant, I knew exactly where you was at cookeville! The upper cumberland has several elephants but the pink is the largest! I don't live but a hop and a skip from putnam county! Love your videos!
