Before KDB Hazard only had one EPL title… never had a season with over 25 G/As. Won the PFA Player of the year only once. I didn’t know being the the best player in the league ONCE meant you OWNED the league. Not when Suarez, Van Persie, Rooney, Gerard, all existed.

I’m pretty sure he still completed the most dribbles in the PL that year… but fun fact it was still less than Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, and Robben. Had less goals and assists than those 4 wingers as well. Di Maria who was a flop at Man Utd still had double digit assists when Hazard didn’t. PL 2014/15: Hazard: 14 goals 9 assists (31 G/As all comps) Alexis Sanchez: 16 goals 8 assists (37 G/As all comps) Back to dribbling for a sec Hazard actually had more dribbles completed with a better % then year before 2014/15. Then you got other dominant PL players in the league at the same time I just don’t buy it. -Aguero 26 goals and 8 assists -David Silva with 12 and 7 -Kane breakout out year w/ 21 I understand it’s not all about stats but legitimately I never considered Hazard even a top 3 LW winger in the world until 2018/19. I think Hazard has always been closer to Sadio Mane’s never than Mo Salah much less Barca’s Neymar in 2015. When Messi and Ronaldo were literally scoring 40+ league goals and Neymar was bursting into the scene and Sanchez was lighting it up at Arsenal and KDB was carrying Wolfsburg to the CL and DFB Polka w/ 20 assists. I mean I was simply not thinking about Hazard.
The difference is dinho’s hit heights that hazard never did that’s why it’s okay he was done by 31, talk to me when hazard has a ballon d’or, World Cup and champions league (Real Madrid doesn’t count)
That's just nostalgia talking. Hazard was never going to win the ballon d'or dominated in an era by ronaldo and messi, the only player who did win it was modric and we all know he didn't deserve it. And that brazil squad and belgium squad aren't comparible, especially if the manager is roberto fkn martinez. 2018 was belgium's chance and hazard was pott there but we all knew france was winning it with that squad(Mbappe, Kante & Pogba then were unstoppable.) As for the champions league i agree that real madrid champions league shouldnt count, but you're lying if you think he should have won it with the chelsea squad he had back then. He was the only world class consistent attacker at chelsea the whole time he was there. Hazard himself did absoluty hit very high heights. Im not saying here that he miles clear of dinho or vice versa, i think that comes down to preference. But you have to factor in the 2 different era's and the teams they played paired with the infastructere of the national team and their clubs.
Hazard is an all time great, but he is vastly overrated, acting like he is in the all time PL 11. Hazard, is worse then Salah, Hazard and Mane is more of a debate, but even then Mane is the better goalscorer but Hazard is the better playmaker. I think Hazard is overrated at this point, but i cannot deny that when he played at Chelsea, the PL was Hazard`s league, but still i do personally think that the likes of Salah and KDB atleast on a club level has achieved more then Hazard. KDB is the best PL midfielder of all time, and easily the best belgian PL player of all time.
There’s nothing Salah can do to be better than hazard. Salah can only be appreciated by stats. Watching 10 random hazard games vs 10 random Salah games Hazard would have better performances overall
@@Prime1Wunna I disagree with that. Salah is just as good, the only difference is in how aesthetically pleasing their playingstyles are. i think people overrate Hazard due to how enjoyable he is too watch play.
@@thetruth4654Salah was only aesthically pleasing to watch in 17/18 and the first half of 21/22 consistently. Other than that his all round game has been inconsistent and his stats have masked his actual in game performance. For instance salah in 22/23 had similar stats to 21/22. But anyone with a pair of eyeballs know that he was MILES better in 21/22 despite him having similar stats. Salah has benefited from the inside foward era as well. Wingers in the prem are now positioned more to get better stats. For instance Saka had the same Stats last year as prime Bale. Does anyone think saka is the 3rd best player itw? Hazard experienced 1 year of this new winger era of football I in 18/19 and ended up with the most g/a in the league. And personally even though he had the most g/a that year his all round game in his 14/15 campaign is what me and majority say was his best season. Salah is world class no denying but more times than not its based upon sheer output than his actual game.
@@thetruth4654So even if you think people "overrate" hazard I would also think its fair analysis to assume that touchline wingers of previous generations numbers would at be better in this era. If you think salahs better cool but personally I think every elite winger in the prem history g/a would all rise playing today.
"it was Hazard league, before KDB and until Hazard left the PL, fact" lol let me debunk this mr Know it all. Firstly, i think Hazard is 7th greatest PL player ever. When we say it was someone's league, it means they were in the top 2 attacking players in the league that season. At least. It WAS Hazards league but ONLY for 2 seasons. He was nowhere near Yaya and Suarez in 2014, he was maybe 5th, behind Aguero and Sturridge It was Hazards league in 2015 It was Mahrez and Sanchez league in 2016 (Hazard chilled that year) Hazards league in 2017, fair enough. 2018 it was KDB, Aguero and Salah were all ahead. 2019 it was VVD, Aguero, Mane, Sterling who were all better. Man City and Liverpool got 98 and 97 points fam and won everything before them. KDB has been top 2 attacker in the league for 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023. Only Henry has a better record in PL history. KDB is definitely "greater" than Hazard. It's not even a debate tbh. Talent wise, it is closer than you think even though i think Eden is more talented. KDB is a much better passer and shooter. Hazard is a much better dribbler and close control. I think KDB will retire as the PL 3rd greatest player behind Henry and CR7. Hazard has a better international career, but KDB has a better PL record and 10x the CL career.
@@therealhb1763 just because he was the most talented player doesn't mean he had the best season. If you think he had a better 2018 than Salah and a Better 2016 than Mahrez and better 2014 than Suarez you're an idiot
2019?? Please, that's the year that definitively was Hazard's. He had the most goals and assists in the league. Man City and Liverpool were better than Chelsea, but Hazard was easily, and by some distance, the best player in the league. The players you mentioned, not only performed at a level below Hazard in 18/19, but their performanc3es were a function of their team, manager and system. @@BigPurp9 But Salah is not better, though. Salah scores more goals and that's about it. Hazard is co clear as a footballer.
@@Al-ji4gd I agree with you but to me it’s not an egregious opinion if someone thinks Salah is better. He’s done enough for people to have the conversation is what I’m saying
Where would you put Griezmann as a player in last 10 years feel like he’s another one that is criminally underrated I’ve watched Griezmann as an Atleti fan and you don’t truly understand how much he sacrifices by tracking back unlike these other attacking players I even watched his time at Barcelona and again he sacrificed his game to do watch Messi and Suarez wouldn’t
He was the best player itl in 14/15, top 3 16/17 and the best attacker by miles in 18/19
@@ayoolaadebayo6846 For one that Chelsea team was stacked. Got the last of primes of Diego Costa (20 goals) and Febregas (18 assists). Hazard was elite especially as a dribbler.
PL 2014/15:
Hazard: 14 goals 9 assists
(31 G/As all comps)
Alexis Sanchez: 16 goals 8 assists
(37 G/As all comps)
Back to dribbling for a sec Hazard actually had more dribbles completed with a better % then year before 2014/15. But we all know he didn’t own the league that year either (Suarez).
Then you got other dominant PL players in the league at the same time I just don’t buy it. -Aguero 26 goals and 8 assists
-David Silva with 12 and 7
-Kane breakout out year w/ 21
I understand it’s not all about stats but legitimately I never considered Hazard even a top 3 LW winger in the world until 2018/19.
@@yeski9925 I agree with a lot of this but it's definitely not preference with him and Dinho. Dinho is arguably a top 10 player ever, Hazard is not.
Watching 10 random hazard games vs 10 random Salah games
Hazard would have better performances overall
I mean no offense to sterling but his prime sterling had better g/a than prime ribery and robben etc.... personally I know who I'm taking. If you think salahs better cool but personally I think every elite winger in the prem history g/a would all rise playing today.
@@thetruth4654 Nothing to do with aesthetics you muppet. He's simply a better player.
He was nowhere near
Yaya and Suarez in 2014, he was maybe 5th, behind Aguero and Sturridge
It was Hazards league in 2015
It was Mahrez and Sanchez league in 2016 (Hazard chilled that year)
Hazards league in 2017, fair enough.
Hell nah lol he was the best lol
@@therealhb1763 just because he was the most talented player doesn't mean he had the best season. If you think he had a better 2018 than Salah and a
Better 2016 than Mahrez and better 2014 than Suarez you're an idiot
Chelsea's performance that year was a function of Hazard's individual performances.
@@themidwife1624 fact
@@themidwife1624literally salah, mane, auba won the golden boot that year, vvd won the pfa player of the year. Please stop it.
This hazard slander is getting so disrespectful now
I guys act like there’s loads of Belgians that played world class level at the prem..just be honest and say u wanna compare hazard to kdb..(talking about sharks) bro loves to put hazard ina tough convo to devalue him..bro made hazard destroyed assna for so many seasons
This genuinely pissed me off
Was it his league? Prime Sanchez, Prime aguero and Suarez carrying their teams aswell. I don’t think you can say Hazard ran the prem as the undisputed best in the league. Even at his best he had up and down seasons. That’s the only thing, I’d have an issue with. Everything else is true I don’t like this new thing of FORGET about their younger years, as long as they finish with off better. Like the modric Vs iniesta argument.
Prime aguereo only played 20 games per season and Alexis was never better than hazard. Suarez had only one good season at Liverpool and dipped
@@therealhb1763 and yet Aguero still breaking records, highest goals per minute ratio (before Haaland pass him), most hatricks (equal with Shearer), 5th in PL All Time Top Scorer. He might get injured a lot but one trait of aguero is that he didnt take any time to continue scoring after injury
@@ammarbaagu that’s simply not enough. City played better with no 9. A false 9 with Jesus or foden was much better and it was so easy to replace him and he was never the best in the league that simpel
@@therealhb1763 Scoring PL most iconic goal ever, City last ever PL Top Scorer before Haaland, City All TIme Top Scorer. The only reason City managed to stay afloat when Aguero left was Pep being an absolute genius at tweaking his team and teaching them to play new roles. BTW Aguero was still one of PL best striker even before Pep came in
@@therealhb1763alexis prime is better than hazard prime.
Never seen a man defend another man so much. Like brah, Hazard don’t know you and doesn’t care. Why do you? 😂
Henry was 33 in the MLS, not 31. Also in 08-09 he had declined, but was still CLEARLY world class. Put in a monster performance vs Real Madrid in what was essentially the title decider, but got injured that game and rushed back for the CL final while still unfit. After that he stopped caring, but was still a good enough player to contribute for a good European team. He came back to Arsenal at 35 ffs.
Fuad is the corniest dude in RUclips ⚽️ discourse
btw u brang up kaka neymar and ronaldinho. firstly they're brazilian, secondly kaka and ronaldinho are from different gens it was way different to this era, neymar did infintely more in his earlier years than hazard
I think we can all agree that it’s unfortunate Eden was diagnosed with diabetes but he simply should have trained harder 😅
it was defo agueros league lmao, not hazards.
Hazard is one of the most overrated players in the history of the sport, bunch of eye test merchants, he can’t talk to salah
Hazard could run past a block of 3
Ayooo chelsea failed him i think you went too far diego costa hazard and willian was crazy
Its kinda true since chelsea didn't really invested alot in other areas even when better players were on the market
Spurs fans always salty
Fuad is such a yapper sometimes
People talk about ‘recency bias’ but we need to talk about ‘nostalgia bias’ yes dinho is an all time great but hazards output isn’t as different as dinhos
Ronaldinho is one the best player in his era in UCL
Well hazard is one the worst player in UCL in his era that is the deference.
Hazards was always overrated tho. He was not better than KDB in 2018 he was not the best player in the league.
