Just a note.....the game day 1 patch was not available for this or any preview of the game. A patch just released yesterday 03/19 and another is planned for Day 1 so the hope is that the performance will be addressed.

Btw, The events leading to the boshin war in Japanese history are often a place for artists to create what-if stories. It's even more popular than Sengoku Jidai for choose your path style.. Are you backing the Shogun or the Emperor? Are you joining the Shinsengumi? Within the Shinsengumi, are you loyal to Serizawa, Kondo, etc? Will you stop the coup? The period is all about hard decisions, choosing factions and the way history played out was very delicate.. one different decision could have drastically changed Japan. I'd say most artistic depictions of this era are done with "what-if" storylines.
I hope this game does really well. There's an old game series called Way of the Samurai. I really loved the multiple playthrough system with dozens of endings. It's something we haven't seen much of since. It just gave those games an essence of never ending and constantly changing each consecutive playthrough. I think most people never got to experience it because they gave up on the game. As Way of the Samurai games always make you feel underpowered and useless to start with. Most people probably think it's how the majority of the game would be and rate it as rubbish.

I LOVED that series. I played every game. I feel like this is its spiritual successor in a way.
So, you can only invite friends to specific main-story missions? You can't roam around in multiplayer?
Good question, most of their games have a good multiplayer
The multiplayer will be like red dead redemption in The open world or it would be like Nioh just misión hub invitation ?

I was pro pre order for both titles. Recent updatss on both made me wait. Lol ive never done this. I am a video game impulse buyer
