His vocal range is incredible. Where it shows most clearly is in his Amazing Grace cover. He goes solidly just a hair shy of four (4) full octives in that one, all with fully resonate vowel sounds, and rasp and growl. Maybe two or three in the world who can do that, and do it well.
OMG!!! My new obsession!!! Love this guy!!!! He transported me to my youth (old lady here) My grand daughter thinks I have gone looney, but I don't care!!! LOL
This man is AMAZING! I once binged his covers and that is how I found this one. The other we were saying was outstanding was his cover of "toss a coin to your witcher" which is what I originally found.
It's absolutely insane... It's unfortunately one of his least watched covers despite being one of the most impressive showcases of what his voice can do.
@@DreadKyller i have a feeling its got something to do with what it comes from maybe. Not as many people are familiar with it. I personally have never watched the show but his cover sounded good
Dan is a study in how to technically sing perfectly. He stands straight with perfect posture, shoulders back, his diaphragm open, giving him the power for those big belting notes, able to pull in large amounts of air. His range is amazing, his sweet spot in the High Baritone/Low Tenor range. He could also fit easily on any Broadway or West End stage, he is so theatrical when he sings. I could watch this man sing all day. He easily fits into my category of killer Male Vocalists, i.e. Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, Gabriel Henrique....they all have range and technique for days. This was an awesome cover. Brazil puts out some great male vocalists! ❤
Love your reaction to this song! Everyone who hears Dan Vasc and this song have the same jaw dropping, ear-to-ear, head shaking grin at how epic this performance is! Just wait til you hear his other songs - 200+ great covers... Gethsemane, My mother told me, Battle Hymn, Several Witcher covers, Handel's Messiah, Nessun Dorma -- all fantastic. Dan is genuine - pours his whole soul into every performance. Truly epic voice. Do more reactions to his work - it was great!!
I am a HUGE Dan Vasc fan. He is freaking AMAZING!! This is one of my all time favorite songs; however, I love everything he does. Thank You for the reaction video!
With the instrumentation - yes he does do some but I think it depends. Enjoy the Dan Vasc rabbit hole - definitely do more reactions. Great job. Hail ❤️🤘✝️
Toss a coin to your witcher, My mother told me, Sound of silence, and Bring me to life are some of my favorite covers from him! also Kiss from a rose with Dan and Violet Orlandi is totally amazing too!
One of the people who had an extra singing role in that section with the guest singers is a vocal coach by the name of Ken Tamplin, who is an excellent Hard Rock/Metal vocal coach and I'm pretty certain he was also one of the vocal coaches Dan Vasc worked with for his voice for a while, it was nice seeing him in the video.
I follow Ken Tamplin here, he gives great tips on singing. The fact that he shows up in this video makes me pretty sure that Dan did have some coaching with Ken… it would also explain the high control and the techniques Dan uses all the time.
That was freaking awesome! I did see some Sean Connery. A Brazilian Sean Connery? He is such the entertainer as well as the best singer I’ve heard in some time! Bring on more Dan Vasc!
Yes! Please react to more Dan. My personal favorite is his cover of manowar's Battle hymn. And for his more theatrical side his cover of Gesthesame. His original music with his band Fearless is great too.
I realize this is an old video, but if you’re still new to Dan Vasc…. you should definitely check out his channel. You will be absolutely blown away by his other songs /videos! He’s probably the most skilled vocalist I’ve ever heard!! He’s also got the most glorious, powerful, perfect screams!
Regarding the music credits, Dan generally posts all of the information in his Description for each song. If you don't see anything posted there, it could be that it's one of his older videos (before RUclips was so picky about all of that), or it could be that he simply DID do all of it himself.. In this particular one, here's what he posted in the Description: "This is my metal cover of the song "I'll Make a Man Out of You from the movie Mulan, done together with the mighty @samuelkimmusic arranging the orchestra. Drums, bass, electric guitars, vocals, mixing and mastering by yours truly." I'm not sure if this means that Dan PLAYED all of the drums, bass, and electric guitars, or whether he "only" did the mixing and mastering of them. Most times, though, if there are other musicians involved, he lists them separately, and THEN says that he played [whichever] instruments (which also could have been synthesized), AND did the mixing and mastering (though sometimes others have done that part). Basically, you can figure that he COULD have done it all, since he also writes original music. Oh, and by the way, he has been doing his own camera-work for a long time, as well. I was just waiting for you to hear the TOP note! 😀 Fun reaction. Great job. PS: Sean Connery actually was quite bald, even when he was very young. Whatever movie he was in had him using a special hairpiece that suited the "type" he was playing. As for his singing, you can do a quick search for "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" right here on RUclips. There are several captures of it, by individuals. He did a good job of singing the song, at least in that one movie. I don't personally recall hearing him sing in any other one, and I used to watch all of his movies. 🤩
His cover of black wind fire and steel by Manowar if your looking for those crazy highs just wait till you hear that song....or wuthering heights by Kate bush/angra for a cleaner(less rasp) high note extravaganza....or battle hymn another Manowar song that will take you on a journey
Dan has an amazing vocal range. If you hasn't listen to Dan sing Amazing Grace you have to see, that is the best version I ever seen and there you really see his vocal range hugs from Norway 🤘🤘😨😨🫂🫂💞💞
Loved this one! I don't see Sean Connery, but you do you, man! You need to do his version of Amazing Grace. The most powerful and moving version I've ever heard (and as a lifelong Christian, I've heard a lot! And sung my share.)
- Heaven is a place on earth )HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Amazing Grace - Sound of Silence - Hallelujah Super great video man I'm actually rewatching this for a second time because your reaction was so identical to mine it gave me chills seeing somebody react in the same way to such amazing vocals. Keep making videos, brother. I hope you're well whatever the current circumstances!
I don't love Dan's style from time to time, but I'm not gonna lie, I got goosebumps when he sang the chorus in a higher register, it hypes you up. I feel like that was the way it was meant to be sang, with a build up leading to an eventual crescendo. Probably my favorite cover of his.
I found this guy from his cover of Toss A Coin to Your Witcher because I’m a massive Witcher fan (books, games, and show) and I love his voice and his other covers. If you’re interested in something similar, Peyton Parrish usually sings Viking type songs, but he released a whole album of Disney covers. 10000% recommend if you haven’t heard him yet.
How did I start off searching botanical formulations and end up here, I don’t know. But I’m so glad I did! The way you analyze and review is so genuine. I’ll definitely be checking out more… while making lip balm… or soap.. 😅 blessings
Dan singing this song just makes me want to obey his orders - and I'm a 69 year old female. lol He has such a strong amazing voice! Sean Connery has only sung in one movie (Darby O'Gill and the Little People) back in 1959! - Put out by Disney! If you Google 'Sean Connery singing in Darby O'Gill and the Little People', there is a clip from the movie of him singing enough of the song that you can hear his singing voice. Sean died in 2020.
Check out Dan Vasc’s O Holy Night! I think he released it Dec 21, that’s when I first heard him and became addicted to him and his amazing voice, also amazing posture. I slouch less now because of him. LOL
You could try an original song Dan wrote - Where the eagles fly. For covers, yes Toss a Coin is awesome, or burn butcher burn also from the witcher, so is Gethsemane and music of the night .......oh the list is endless.......❤❤
One actor that did sing heavy metal was Sir Christopher Lee. You can listen to him on Rhapsody's Magic of a Wizard's Dream and with his own band, Charlemagne. It started with him doing narration for Rhapsody and Manowar and he decided it looked like fun, so he started his own band. Elizabeth @The Charismatic Voice reacted to Magic of a Wizard's Dream.
Have you heard his cover of Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Super Star? His vocals and expressions and strength are unsurpassable! He is singing, telling and performing a story! To my mind, it totally draws me right in and I am there with Him, suffering alongside in His moments of agony trying to accept that which He knows MUST be done! 🔥🔥🔥
G'day John, Coppin' an eyeful of Sean Connery in a "historic"(?) version of a Mankini is not something I ever thought I'd need to see in my lifetime, but hey, I'm not entirely mad at it...😏 As for Dan, mate, every day is a great day when Dan opens that glorious chest and lets rip 🤤... be still my beating 💓... he fair dinkum rips the breath right outta ya...😊 I'm yet to find a dud from him, even that first video on his channel, of a 20 year old Daniel recording his audition for DragonForce shows the potential that lies within. With the training he has undertaken it is more than clear he has discipline and dedication to his artistry. Too much Dan is never enough...🥰 Some of my faves are: Dr Stein; Dr Feelgood; any of his Witcher versions; the whole "Chronicles Of Ancient Wisdom" album from his band Fearless...who am I kidding? EVERYTHING he does is fabulous, just watch them all!! It'll be worth it!! 🙃🐨🇦🇺

I went somewhere on line looking for all his videos, Twitter maybe? anyway, he has a list of things he uses including the microphone, Along with where you can buy it. I think maybe Amazon? Sorry, John, I wish I had more info for you, but if I could find it, you certainly can… BTW, you are one of two people I always go to for first reactions! Thanks!

His voice is amazing, his hair makes me jealous, and my goodness is he nice to look at as well

His range is absolutely amazing and he's worked and trained his voice beautifully so that he is DEAD ON at whichever end of the spectrum he's working.
Those high metal notes and the bravado are his passion

He is mind blowing when he sings. Awesome and incredible
My genetics has nothing with music talent, but brain and skin resonates with that voice. Pure talents
Dont let life go by without Dan's cover of Blind and Frozen! Epic!!
😍
I saw this cover Dan Vasc did I think a year ago, and while you were watching it I was like "wait until you hear his high note at the end *nods*" lol
Yeah, please more Dan Vasc, he is mond-blowing. 🔥🔥🔥
He really feels like a sergeant scaring the s*** out of his newbies.
He is amazing, one of my favorite movies, and he crushed the song, sooo good!
GETHSEMANE is arguably his best cover yet, and there's no reaction to it on youtube.
