- This is a complete step by step for 1/12 scale Superman headsculpt painting tutorial
mostly paint using paint brush and acrylic paint.
Apply thin layer, be patient.
after finish painting, before apply gloss the eyes. make sure to give matt top coat for the entire headsculpt. after that then you can apply gloss for the eyes.

Thanks for the video , i need to see that to start painting , what kind of varnish you use on the pain before the glossy eye?

All the color are mix on the spot. just like my basic skin tone video.

Would you be so kind as to reply to my comment with brands of paints that I can use to paint action figures? Can I really use off the regular available oil or acrylic paints or will they fade? Please guide me. Why can’t we use them?
Brand, use cheap brand for starter
It's acrylic paint.

Now, i mostly use citadel brush.
But sometime some cheap brush works. Especially when i mod the bush to be thinner.

Did you mix the skin tone with water. Aaa.. all of the paint mixing with water?
And how many layer you did for Skin tone?

How many layers depends on your visual check.
In the video it's about 5 thin layers.
What are these heads made out of (PLA, ABS, resin?)? I'm a doll artist and just bought a Tomb Raider Angie head for my 1/12 TBLeague body, but I'd like to know the exact material of the head to best paint and seal it. Anyone ever use Mr Super Clear to seal these? Help lol!
PS- I've only painted porcelain, polymer clay and Monster High so far...

@@wangdennys thats great bro, becoz 1/12 scale seem very small to see all the detail.. i still struggling on finding magnifier that suit great ti me..
Paint eyes is the hardest
That is why it is better to paint eyes right after skin tone

Sorry i was so nervous making the video and i forgot to mention already apply clear resin primer with airbrush before.
Because i like the base resin color and it helps with the painting.

3. In the last step, do we use matte or glossy varnish to seal up our paint?

And then last for the eyes gloss clear coat.

That depends on your paint mix
And density of pigment.
