Lucille it is so easy when we get further away from those days immediately post op to see where we are not or what we have not done...I think it's important to be aware of what we are or are not doing so we can do our best to do the best we can in this moment. BUT don't forget how much you have done...you say ONLY 60 lbs...my gosh woman that's a tremendous amount of weight! Seize your happiness now it's yours for the taking focus on the joy in your life and know that each day is an opportunity to do our best in that day. I think you rock!
Love you my sweet cookie you should be proud you have done amazing & your not where you use to be...life throws curves we just need to find ways to throw back...lol♥♥ btw did you see my message on fb to you? .. love ya..love rosemary♥
Congrats on your progress so far. I like how you call your journey a mission. I can understand your frustrations, but it's good you're taking stock of where you're at and can keep looking ahead. I realize that my continual maintenance is dependent on being mindful of my food and exercise -- they're integral to my well-being. But I need to keep tackling all the other stuff in life too!! It involves much mental work because I wonder that I might very well avoid things because I know I can not and will not turn to excess food to comfort me! Mark
Mark, you are a swell friend... and you understand the frustrations so many of us have about this journey. I have to hand it to you for being so strict with your diet plan and never swaying from it. You have an amazing character within you.
You know Cookie you are and have been dealing with a lot with your mom, I think it takes a long time to get back to normal. As far as the weight loss goes I think you have done a great job and I know this year is going to be a great year for you!! You look fabulous!
Susan, you are so right about my dealing with so much "stuff" in regard to my mother. There was a lot that went on in Florida that nobody really knows about except Rosemary (gastricrose). I had to deal with an unreasonable person that made everything extremely difficult and on top of that I had to deal with loosing my mother 34 days after getting her settled into her nursing home, so coming back home after her funeral was anything but "normal" for me and I know I ate through my frustrations and stress for a few weeks. Now I'm back on track and doing what is necessary to move forward and each day I get further and further away from the painful events of those Florida trips. I love and miss my mother dearly, but I'm glad that she is finally at peace and I won't have to worry about her any longer. Much Love, Cookie
