    Great video - what you are talking through in this video is very much like how most organizations and teams operate and the anti-pattens they fall into. Keep up the amazing content.

      Thank you Paul. I tried to talk from experience as opposed to "by the book" or as the "guide" says. In the end, the process are there to help us work better. If we manage to change some of those anti-patterns we are on a path to a better work balance :)

    I want to thank you for this update. Those other videos were new when I started leading my team towards an agile transition. About two years on and I'm now an agile coach in a new job. Your videos were some of the first material I used to consolidate my knowledge and I still refer to them when I create my own educational materials. In fact I'm watching this one right now because I'm putting together a presentation on Scrum, Kanban and Scrumban to illustrate how we practice the agile values and principles through frameworks like these.
    You are intrinsically tied to my agile career, thank you :D

      Hey Thomas! Wow, that's the best compliment I could get. Thank you. I hope the videos can serve you and the team to see what Agile is really about without becoming too strict on the frameworks use. Congrats on your your new job! Great to see passionate people in the Agile Coach role! 🎉

    Thank you for this helpful video! I just have one question! I’m a university student majoring in economics and management and I decided to focus my thesis master on Project Management and Agile approaches! Would you maybe recommend me some official and not so hard books/ articles on agile in general and on what Scrum a kanban are really like? I would actually rather not to focus it on IT-related contexts since it has nothing to do with my studies… so it would be nice if you could recommend me some nice materials that are not so It-related
    Thank you in advance😊

      Hey Lorenzo, interesting studies! That's actually not so straightforward for me. Let me think about it. For now I can suggest you look for materials from Jeff Sutherland, a co-author of the Scrum Guide. He recently started putting emphasis on Scrum for non-IT companies.

    What principles & practices can you apply in Kanban to ensure the team works as quickly as possible to the highest standards to deliver value ?
    With Scrum you’d have a 2-3-4 week Sprint so a specific time by when the work commited should be completed

    • @AgileStateofMind
      @AgileStateofMind  Год назад +1

      The Sprint alone doesn't guarantee neither value delivery nor a working piece of software but I understand it helps "commitment" and visibility for the stakeholders on the plans. What I would suggest to do in Kanban is to introduce a weekly goal - something the team strives to accomplish. Can be weekly/bi-weekly, etc. It helps the team to focus and the stakeholders to have an overview on what is intended to be accomplished.

    Nice video however I do not agree with the sentence around scrum being and Habit that to not touches the process. As per Scrum Guide, the retrospective section mention: "The Scrum Team inspects how the last Sprint went with regards to individuals, interactions, *processes*, tools, and their Definition of Done."
    So the process is a key factor the scrum application and the team should think and optimize it sprint per sprint. More over the automation is something every team should think about because repetitive work is against agile.

    • @AgileStateofMind
      @AgileStateofMind  Год назад

      Hey, I don't think i used the word "process" I use the word flow or workflow. Scrum doesn't help with the optimization of the flow of work. So yeah, even though they talk process they might only refer it to what they prescribe, right? The rest is in the power of the team to define and using Kanban's tips could work.
      I don't understand the last sentence, how is "repetitive work is against agile"?

    Thanks Maria for sharing this video! Do you have any experience with LeSS? I find it interesting that you can share your experience scaling Scrum teams 🙂
