Great explanation. 1.5 months into my CPAP therapy and I've already dropped from 150 to 130, and I only just now found a mask & cushion combo that doesn't leak, so it should keep improving from here!

I seen my cardiologist for the first time today. He was the doctor to advise me my blood pressure could be from sleep apnea. So I decided to reach the information I was provided today. Looking at this video confirmed I chose an amazing doctor. Thank you for this knowledge

Same here. My heart was beating abnormally and I was experiencing chest pain. I insisted with my doctor that I get a cardiologist referral and they were the one who told me to get a sleep study. Sure enough, I had sleep apnea. Hopefully you have a cpap machine by now. God bless!

    Hi, (Not a doctor)
Sleep Apnea is primarily a deficiency of Vit B1 !!!
Might want to take B complex, and B1.
Got this from a doctor, tried it, and it worked !!!

Thank you so much for the very helpful clarification! It helps me a lot in diagnose the symptoms of hypertension at mid-might caused by sleep apnea.
I look forward to your other videos related to this issue and the appropriate treatment as well as physiotherapy.

Thank you for this explanation - it helps a lot. None of the doctors I've seen have been able to tell me why I've developed hypertension with no other risk factors involved (and with major incidents at night). I will definitely follow up on this.

In children mouth breathing is the most common cause of obstructive sleep apnea, so I guess in adults also significant. Dry air irritates mucosa, leading to mucosal edema, smoking does too. Psych drugs, sedatives, also relax throat muscles among other apnea effects, leading to obstruction, this is very common in infants, so again probably in adults.
Evidence for drugs causing this in adults, such as benzos:
"This study suggests that sleep apnea syndrome can be associated with some drugs (mainly psychotropics)"
Can drugs induce or aggravate sleep apneas? A case-noncase study in VigiBase®, the WHO pharmacovigilance database, 2016.
Let's just call it, it's the drugs again.
To top it off, ace inhibitors cause respiratory inflammation which leads to apnea.
(Btw I'm on an albendazole/prazi course and this is the first time ever that my sinuses are clearing up in the morning)

Can CPAP masks lead to hypertension over time? I first had sleep apnea and started using CPAP masks then developed hypertension. I suspect CPAP?
