    As always Denise, you do such a great job describing the piece and giving your honest opinion. And love your tips and advice. I bought this wig after seeing your video. It's my first human hair. It's fabulous especially for the price! I've been wearing mostly grays so this was a departure for me but it's close to what my natural colour was before I went gray! Mine is a bit redder than I prefer and the curl pattern is pretty tight in the back. Mine also smelled weird but washing it took care of that. My question is, can I use a curling iron on it to relax the curl a bit? Maybe do barrel curls as opposed to the permed look? If I can't then I'm fine with it but I would like a more relaxed curl pattern. Thanks for all you do!

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  Год назад +1

      I am so glad you like it! And YES, you can use any heat tool on it... since it is double processed (colored and permed) I would be careful not to use too high of heat (start VERY low and go up until it works the way you want it to), and not too often. Be sure to use a heat protectant spray of some sort and also use a leave in conditioner and even a hair oil often (maybe even every time you wear it) to keep as much moisture on it as possible. I absolutely love permed pieces, but the negative is that double processing on a wig is really hard on the hair. Hugs!

    That wig is fabulous on you and gives you a very youthful look... I just went to their website and ordered/bought it... My Canadian information went into their site and no problem, so I guess they are sending it to my Country. As my bio hair is pure white that color is going to shock me and my friends and family... but I don't care... I have made up my mind to love it... Once you get over 75 years old you can be as eccentric as you like and it's all okay... Next I want to find a bright red/copper wig...

      I love this!!! I totally agree!! I figure if we have to suffer with hair loss or thinning hair, why not make the most of the fun wigs can be? As I get older I find myself caring less and less what people think... I always heard that would happen but I don't think I truly believed it. Now that I am closer to 52 than 51 I am finding that to be true!!

      Haha you're great! Emmahairpiece does have other colour bobs. You have to sneak about the website to find them lol a few are eccentric colours but they do have browns, black and even plain blonde. They come straight but a review said after washing they dry wavy. Not quite as curly as this one. I'm considering the blonde one but it has no dimension. That's why I tried messaging them to see if they can add low lights to the blonde. *sigh*

    I bought this wig and I love it. Before I washed it the texture looked a little off but even on the website it says to wash it and after I did it looked just fine. It's really natural looking. I have been looking for a budget friendly human hair wig in a lighter color which this is. I have gotten some budget friendly human hair wigs in beauty supply stores and on amazon but they tend to come in darker colors . This wig fits the bill. It's a little shorter than I expected it to be but it's summer and I think it looks cute anyway. I got the medium cap and wear a wig grip under it and it fits nicely. I am so grateful to you Denise for reviewing this wig. I wanted to try a wig from Emma hairpiece when you reviewed the longer curly piece but this one was more budget friendly so I tried this one.

      I am so thrilled to hear this, thank you so much for sharing!! I always get so nervous when I highly recommend a wig from a budget retailer, while their return policy is great and they truly seem to care (as evidenced by them reaching out to me regularly for any feedback I have gotten and anything they can do better), you just never know if they experience a change in staffing. Denise... I am happy with the wig you show here that I got a couple of weeks ago... I would like to let you know, though, that I also ordered from Uniwig the Belinda wig, and Studio 1 the Berlin, wigs that I had to return... I lost a lot of money returning the wigs ($343.44 in re-stocking fees, Import fees, and shipping fees on the two wigs. So, if you do have Canadian customers they need to know that it is a very expensive cost to return any wigs cross-border. Even after returning the wigs and getting the discounted refunds from them, I still got another bill to pay from Fedex today for no less than five separate fees, taxes and Import duty that I have to pay and no possibility of getting a refund on them... I learned a huge and hard lesson in this experience. Trying to live on a small Senior's pension, it was a hard blow for me.

    Denise... because of this video I ordered that wig and I got it today... I was blown away by the wonderful silky feel of the hair and the sheer beauty of it... As this is my first wig I am actually keeping, and intend to wear, it is pretty exciting for me... Very strange for me to go to such a dark color as I am Scandinavian and had blonde hair naturally and now that I am older it is all pure white.... yet, I am still thinking I will enjoy it, once I can get used to wearing a wig and how to trim the lace and so on... With a very tiny head, yes, it is going to work and is so different from the experience I had with the Belinda wig from Uniwigs that was really huge in spite of a size of 20.5 inches. Maybe they made a mistake? I had to send that one back... this one, I am keeping... I give kudos to Emma Hairpiece for sure, and mine does not have any bad odor at all, it's simply perfect in every way and fits my tiny head. Thankyou again for this video. This wig is a hundred times better than the very expensive wig I sent back.

    Hey Denise! You look so young in this one!
    I’m a new fan and have a suggestion! What if you did a format like split screen “zoom video” where fans call in and describe a wig or topper they bought and show it to you and your audience? Doesn’t have to be a live stream. This came to mind because 1. I don’t see you reviewing things in my hair color (brown-black) and each person has different styles and budgets so it could bring wig reviews for items you’ve never even tried. Just an idea- Melesia❤ what you do!

      That is such a good idea!

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  Год назад +1

      That's interesting... if it wasn't a live stream how would that work? I would just set up zoom calls with different people and then splice them together? My main concern is that people who are not used to making videos won't necessarily have the right equipment for a high quality video (lighting and a camera that takes high quality video) ... and zoom video quality isn't typically good enough for wig reviews. This is an interesting idea, though! I am doing a zoom interview with another RUclipsr soon and I'll have to see how that turns out before passing judgement, lol. Thanks for the suggestion!

    I absolutely LOVE the way this wig looks! I think the lace would be the only deal breaker for me... Such as, what if the wind blows and it pulls away at the ears? Or at the dentist and my hair falls back? I know I could use glue, but I don't normally wear my wigs long enough in a day to bother with glueing. And the darker lace too, I'm rather fair skinned, so it'd probaby be noticable. 🤷 Maybe one day I will try this wig, but I guess for now I'll stick with Julianne by Jon Reanu as my next wig purchase. (I was waiting for this review before making a decision on which wig to purchase)

    I got my first wig today it cost me $1352.56 Canadian dollars from Uniwigs... a beautiful wig but looked dreadful on me ... I could not get it to stay on my head as it was so heavy and too big for me even cinched in to the smallest size... It was also a totally different color than it looked on the video I saw it reviewed on... A light blonde was what I thought it would be but it was a dark golden blonde that didn't suit me at all... The wig I got was 20.5 and size extra small but was still miles too big for my little head... Now I am worried about the other two wigs I ordered... I also have on order, this same one you are wearing in this video and I love it on you so much I am determined I am going to make it work for me... I am going to dye it with natural Henna so I can be the redhead I used to be... Even if I have to totally alter and re-make that wig, it is going to work for me... I am returning the Uniwig Belinda ... losing a couple of hundred dollars between re-stocking fees and shipping fees two ways, but I learned something valuable in this venture... I hope I will be able to master the art of wearing wigs at some point. I am really small though... 55 inches tall...

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  Год назад +1

      I'm really surprised about the shine as Human Hair isn't usually like that. As for length, it can be so hard to judge length on another person. My head size, face length, and neck length all play into it. I have a friend who is about 9 inches shorter than I am and she has virtually no neck. A chin length bob on me goes practically to her shoulders. That's why I put my measurements in the description, to try to help that a little.

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  Год назад +1

      I think you can darken it, but anything that would lighten it, even a little, would be really hard on the hair since it has already been double processed. My guess is that they used factory dye, also known as textile dye, which can make it a bit harder to color. I just had one of their wigs sent out to have rooting and lowlights added, and the colorist who did it for me said it was tricky to color and she had to go MUCH darker than she would have preferred just to get it to take. She said the hair is beautiful but that textile dye is tricky. The benefit of it, though, is that it won't fade or oxidize like regular hair color does.

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  Год назад +1

      Hi! It really depends on how much you need to think it whether the razor will work or if you need to remove more hair than that. Removing wefts or using a thinning shears can be tricky... you don't want to mess up how it lays and it is really easy to overthin. If i were you I would wash it and see if just styling it differently helps. In addition, sometimes we just need to get used to a wig so wearing it around the house for a week or so might not hurt either. I would just hate for you to thin it and then regret it....
