    And to think that they could have had production back up and running in 5 minutes or less if they had an extended reach excavator with a hydraulic jack hammer.

    How can a company invest all this money yet fail to anticipate something like this? For less than the cost of a single tire on those dumpers, they could install a pneumatic hammer to move and/or break up large boulders.

    Basically too many managers screaming their own opinion on how to it. And 3 workers down wrestling with that large boulder.

  • @sar9907
    @sar9907 2 года назад +3

    The company that puts production over safety of the employees is not worth working for( someone is going to say they're tied up. I will say fuck your hat). Why sending people risking their life to fix some douchbag mistakes. That giant rock should not be loaded on rock truck then end up in gyro. Secondly invest in proper rock breaker and change that old hook. Quality equipments = Good production. This type of work won't fly here in Canada. You have the right to refuse unsafe work. Plus hefty fines.

    When they finally got it out, what did they do with it? Easiest solution would have been to crack it into smaller pieces. There's numerous ways of doing that with devastating efficiency. Apparently none of these workers have any idea how to break large rocks into smaller ones.
