I'm around 5 years with no more then an average of 0 to 6 viewers. I still stream to this day, I stopped looking and caring about my number of viewers. Starting to stream has got me into learning about SEO analytics, higher filming and lighting techics, and time management over hours instead of days at a time. Im constantly trying to do new things but even though I've done multi platforms I feel like I'm getting stuff out way to slow and it becomes irrelevant compared to others who get stuff out minutes after major companies put out the information. I use multiple accounts as not to self advertise when talking on others stuff
Bruh, same. I’ve been streaming for 5 years also. I too have 0-6 avg viewers but that’s not why I do it. I’m putting myself out there to hopefully find people that are like minded. I also love the behind the scenes stuff like you mentioned. I’ve learned so much about video and audio production, time management, content creation and graphic design. I love my stream life 😁
@@ShugarMeat our time will come oneday fr. Gotta stay persistent and hungry. I stream and do videos a lot since I started almost at 500 videos. I support other creators who are in my shoes and really trying to make it.
Same my man all it takes is consistency. I love streaming not just for viewers, but to connect with people and make friends. Same with posting videos. Honestly it would be nice to live off streaming, but I would never want to lose that personal connection with the audience.
It's so insightful and inspiring to see great folks who put in the work for 2 - 3 years only averaging less than 50 viewers and then blossomed getting 4,000+ average viewers.........that's the amazing thing about content creation and streaming. Growth isn't linear, it's exponential!
i've been streaming for about 7 months now, but only during the last month i've been trying to make the quality of my content better and i've already seen a huge difference. i actually have regular chatters now which is cray to me, my followers have more than doubled and my viewership has also grown alot. Thanks for helping me with your awesome videos :)
Most ppl don't get me. I'm ONLY Affiliate because I want to upload custom Emotes. I'm not interested to growth; I'm just in love with a certain Community game and like meeting new ppl and playing it with them. The only time I mention any giving perks--tips, Throne, etc.--is my birtmonth. The only other benefit I see to growth is creating and fostering a truly safe space that others can enjoy. That being sad, for other streamers who *want* to grow, this is really good advice. I've been watching a lot of your videos and have learned much to improve my small space on Twitch. I'm improving things, learning some tech ins and outs, and learning to woosah through the many hiccups along the way. Great video, as always.
I’m 6 months in to RUclips and Twitch streaming, passed 250,000 views on YT and at 17 avg viewers on Twitch… Terrified of the growth stopping… probably working 70-80hours a week including my full time job to make sure that doesn’t happen. Love y’all and really appreciate you Eljay💙❤️💙❤️ Good luck everyone!
After streaming on youtube for over 1.5 years, having 150+ videos, having 2-5 viewers in my stream and 20-50 vieuws a video. I will never stop doing youtube, it is something i enjoy doing. And even if i made 1 person's day or helped him out with a guide, then that video was worth it. Appreciate what you have !
As someone whose just about to start over with youtube & twitch and getting back into it i think your videos are great! Really appreciate all the tips and tricks you share :D
I’m about 18 months in. I’m a fairly niche interest and I’ve accepted growth is going to be slow. But in that time I’ve crept up from 3 average viewers to nearly 20. I know a lot of the things I need to do to grow, so the next task is to get going on them (especially putting a LOT more work into my RUclips output).
As sad as I might be, I think after watching this video, it's time to put the "episodic let's plays" approach to bed. I really loved them back in the day and want(ed) to make more content like that, but if I want to grow, I'll have to change something. Really appreciate this video!

Its little over 90 days since streaming. I usually have 1-2 viewers who are my friends or my alt account 😝. But I love the journey of streaming and content creation. Learning each day is interesting and help you grow as a person. Love you channel its so relatable. ❤
Nice vid! Also when I saw your examples I got the biggest smile on my face aha, I really look up to both of them even if I don't necessarily watch their content too much 😄
I've been making RUclips content for about 10+ years, all different kinds of videos, thumbnails and improvement. Views never went up past about 100 average on stuff I didn't even really want to do. Twitch been on for about 8 years, hardcore variety streamer, and just now almost getting to double digit average. It's a long LONG process but this whole video is true the more I change things the better the content and more viewership. Just need that big break or push
I’m a small creator but I expect to stay small. My audience is very niche and the content is aimed at them. It’s satisfying because I get to stay unstressed because I’m a full time truck driver and can only do a video a week maybe. A small crowd I can keep up with.
As always I love your videos and the way you present tangible tips, or ideas. Keep up the great work, and thank you for sharing what you have learned :D
I’m a vtuber, streamed for 6 months now, hit affiliate in 2 weeks, and got a average of 10-20 veiwers depending on the day. But now I’m at that point of…what’s next? What’s the next goal aside from partner?
I need to find a medium for what to stream. Dark Souls remastered seems WAY to big and Death Loop is pretty dead. I'm not finding much. Any reccomendations?
Been streaming on and off for a few years I’m an affiliate and the grind to get it was fun I was averaging 10 followers a day just by being consistent and funny And got to 300 something followers and even got some checks from but it I took a break for personal reasons and now trying to get back into it and it’s definitely hard not seeing the numbers I was before but it’s changed my views I want branch out and start making more content because there’s some games I’m looking forward to
That's the biggest thing with this industry, you build that momentum, then once you take that break cause you NEED to, when you come back, you lose it all and feels like you're forgotten about. It's sad how quick people move on, but not much can be done, just gotta get back on that grind and be consistent again :D

Really enjoy your videos, find them super helpful. A quick question for anyone on here why dose OBS hate streaming games from game pass on pc? I'm having to use Twitch Studio to stream certain games, and would rather use OBS. Any work arounds for this? Any help would be much appreciated.
I seen this video and I honestly have mix feelings on this. From my own perspective I have faced this problem or something similar and I have legit now idea what to exactly do.I get the idea of trying this put it also feels like unless you have something solid behind you this may not work. I have a hand full of people sitting my chat but it says only 1 viewer. I spark up conversation and what not still nothing. Even when I get raided it drops right back to 1 viewer. I don't exactly know what to do especially when I talk and talk about the games I play. Then I also have the issue of I invite friends to come from all over social media to raise the number and even then that doesn't work out either.
I'm making semi-regular content since almost 12 years and barely make views. I do stick around tho, cause I judt love sharing my content. I'm currently working on making my future videos more attractive and maybe start growing.
Personally I would rather have 10 viewers that interact in chat than 100 who just watch me. Then again I don't stream to make money or to make it big. I do it as I enjoy it. I will stream to zero the same as I would to 1000.
I’ve been streaming for about 1 year and I average about 10 viewers. Granted due to the fact that I work 3 jobs, go to uni, take care of my younger brother etc I have been very inconsistent and I struggle to find the time to create TikTok etc but I’m still proud of myself c;
in 1,5 weeks, i'll be streaming on twitch for 3 years, but right now i'm on a break... I avr. about 5 to 7 viewers... I became very inconsistent with streaming. only my mondays were a set thing, which was the day i had most viewers. I changed my layout and alerts, changing the content i did, and will start streaming again on my twitchaversary... I wanted to make YT vids about the game i WAS doing, but the Dev. announced a mega change set for beginning of this year, which would have made those vids irrelevant. (that update suddenly moved 3 times, now set for 2023) How the new content will be received, and if i can make YT vids with / for it, dunno yet.. I'll just turn on the stream and will see how things go from there. I just stream cause i have fun doing it, i don't do it for the viewership, money or "becoming twitch famous"... I do expect a decline in followers, since i stopped playing a game that 20~30% of my followers only play that (chat "interactive") game. But most important things with streaming.... 1. Have fun yourself.. (very very few toxic streamers make it big). 2. CONSISTANCY !!!.. Regular schedule and keeping to it, is key.
Hey dude, thanks for an update for the community! Iam from Germany.. so don’t hate me for the bad English. Iam streaming since a half year now. Got an average amount of 17 viewers at every stream… but nobody is in the chat 😂 I got 2-6 guys chatting and the other ones are lurkers! What am i doing wrong? I speak with the community my whole stream, maybe you got some tips?
Hey I have a important question hopefully you’ll reply I love your videos 6 months ago I built a community had an average of 7-8 viewers with like 10subs a month it was great unfortunately I have to stop streaming for 12 weeks because I was working and university abroad and I’ve just returned and I feel like I’ve lost my community what’s the best course to take to regrow a community do I just reset and start over or try to get my community back
This feels like a content creator review and I love this Idea for you're channel. Do you think you would be down for making more review videos of small time content creators? Maybe not so random (like browsing for a creator to review) but maybe set a application method and pre-check them out before making a video on them. This would make it to where people who follow you and would actually take your advise in a positive way(people looking for advise). Maybe a new way of gaining revenue? I know I would love a review on my stream from you. Im always looking for ways to improve and always run to your videos past and present for a new idea or a new way to improve.
On my 5th month of uploading every single day , not 1 day missed I think the best thing as a small creator to do to make good content is to make content as if you’re a big creator already, if you have 1 person in chat, make it seem like you’re talking to a million Not making w content or waiting to make w content when you have more people watching is never going to catch people attention , gotta make the viewer already feel like home
Currently doing the 10 mins a day tips you suggested and I gotta say I am enjoying it more than I thought. at fiirst it was hard to now I am getting better a hearing and watching myself on camera!
Ok so I’ve been wondering what I’m the world I could do to make my stream viewership better. I do shoe art live and i have been trying to grow and I’m kinda at a point of confusion 😩 I DEFINITELY don’t want to give up 🙏🏽
I don't want thousands of average viewers on live streams. I like being able to talk with people I my chat, and if that many are talking I'm gonna miss stuff like life updates from people and new people saying hello. I'd love to have enough to make partner on twitch, but im just getting into consistency and working on expanding into RUclips video style content to get myself out there more. even doing clips as tiktoks.... its a grind, but I love streaming my cozy games and Pokémon.
been streaming for about 5 to 6 years now and I've grown alittle bit not much didn't make it over 100 subs yet average 0-4 views been trying my best but it still doesn't seem to work out
So I love all theese tips but Im streaming in Finnish so it's littlebit harder than in English but still Im learning from your tips and trying to suit them to my own language
Hey there! I want to say thank you for all of the advice you give out to people like me! I'm an up and coming streamer who really wants to try and make it work out! Now the problem I'm having and I wanna know if you have experienced this. But have you ever had "Choice paralysis?" Where you have so many options of making content, you cant choose and get yourself stuck? I would like some feedback on this as well as maybe some advice to help grow my channel so I can reach my goals and make my passion a reality! Thanks!
Just do like what Rick says : never gonna give you up never gonna let it down never gonna run around and desert them never gonna make them cry Never gonna say goodbye never gonna tell a lie ( sometimes ) And hurt them
Thank you for everything, i learned amazing stuff watching your videos and i just discovered your youtube channel, my dream is to be a streamer despite being old (25 years old) i won't give up, thanks again
I'm doing me boo! 😜 I just enjoy sharing my passion and I try to stream what I would want to watch. I will consider a collaboration with another streamer. Thx for another helpful video.
i love ironmouse, not only dose she now have alot of views she also has her own anime figure done by good smile one of the best anime figure makers in japan she is at alot of cons. Its amazing to see how much shes come along.
I need to hear this kind of advice weekly to get my butt in gear! So thank you for making these videos. I've been streaming for 2½ years and I'm stuck at 5-15 viewers every week (I appreciate every one of them, but I want to see some growth). I stream once or twice a week, but I spend a lot of time upgrading my stream setup, rather than making discoverable content. Because of your advice, amongst others', it's starting to dawn on me that I should probably put more time into learning how to edit and do good thumbnails, than getting the newest OBS plugin up and running. xD
I know a guy that has over 700 RUclips videos and barely 80 subs and thats for 4 years... his twitch channel has around 370 followers and to this day hes the only one watching himself :D
I'm almost to the point where I'd welcome a knowledgeable 3rd party opinion. I only say "almost" because I see the things that need improvement but it's a long process 😅
I know I'm not interesting. I know I will not make it big and I'm okay with that. I stream because why not, I like gaming. I've been streaming since 2016 and have 205 followers with 3-7 average viewers lol. It's all good tho. Im glad it's not my source of income.
I think the worst part about having zero viewers is when you see people with less effort getting thousands of viewers. Hard work isnt exactly rewarded. You can work hard on Twitch & stay at zero viewers for a decade. I guess you have to “play the game” as gross/superficial as it is, & work smart if you truly want growth.
This mindset is incredibly bad for you, you shouldn’t look at other creators and say they’re putting in less effort. I’d reconsider your entire outlook on content creation. People grow because they offer something unique, valuable, and engaging. If you want to grow, look more at yourself, and not others.

I’ve been streaming for about 1 year and I average about 10 viewers. Granted due to the fact that I work 3 jobs, go to uni, take care of my younger brother etc I have been very inconsistent and I struggle to find the time to create TikTok etc but I’m still proud of myself c;
in 1,5 weeks, i'll be streaming on twitch for 3 years, but right now i'm on a break... I avr. about 5 to 7 viewers...
(that update suddenly moved 3 times, now set for 2023)
How the new content will be received, and if i can make YT vids with / for it, dunno yet..
Regular schedule and keeping to it, is key.
it doesnt matter to me wether there is 1 or 100 viewers, what matters to me is that there is someone even if just 1 enjoying themselves
Almost 2 years and 2000+ hours in with no real growth. But that's not gonna stop me from trying because I enjoy it.
I gotcha
As I say in the video, after a while it’s important to stop and adjust, that’s a lot of hours, I’d recommend shifting your approach to discovery.
Hey I have a important question hopefully you’ll reply I love your videos 6 months ago I built a community had an average of 7-8 viewers with like 10subs a month it was great unfortunately I have to stop streaming for 12 weeks because I was working and university abroad and I’ve just returned and I feel like I’ve lost my community what’s the best course to take to regrow a community do I just reset and start over or try to get my community back
I literally just stream for fun, but I’m thinking of something for a first RUclips video because I want to upload the best I have and not everything
On my 5th month of uploading every single day , not 1 day missed
I think the best thing as a small creator to do to make good content is to make content as if you’re a big creator already, if you have 1 person in chat, make it seem like you’re talking to a million
Not making w content or waiting to make w content when you have more people watching is never going to catch people attention , gotta make the viewer already feel like home
I really enjoyed the text to emphasise the tips.
Currently doing the 10 mins a day tips you suggested and I gotta say I am enjoying it more than I thought. at fiirst it was hard to now I am getting better a hearing and watching myself on camera!
can you do a video about tags
on twitch
I actually didn't skip the add, but I can appreciate that banger segue 👌
Wassup bro my name Kingshowtime and I been streaming for 4 months and my views and subs been up and down. But I understand what I do wrong
Ok so I’ve been wondering what I’m the world I could do to make my stream viewership better. I do shoe art live and i have been trying to grow and I’m kinda at a point of confusion 😩
I DEFINITELY don’t want to give up 🙏🏽
Any tags you recommend for small streamers?
I don't want thousands of average viewers on live streams. I like being able to talk with people I my chat, and if that many are talking I'm gonna miss stuff like life updates from people and new people saying hello. I'd love to have enough to make partner on twitch, but im just getting into consistency and working on expanding into RUclips video style content to get myself out there more. even doing clips as tiktoks.... its a grind, but I love streaming my cozy games and Pokémon.
i skipped the add, you called me on it, i felt guilty and went back to watch the add :(
been streaming for about 5 to 6 years now and I've grown alittle bit not much didn't make it over 100 subs yet average 0-4 views been trying my best but it still doesn't seem to work out
So I love all theese tips but Im streaming in Finnish so it's littlebit harder than in English but still Im learning from your tips and trying to suit them to my own language
Thank you again
1:42 he knows us to well
Thanks!
Just do like what Rick says :
never gonna give you up
never gonna let it down
never gonna run around and desert them
never gonna make them cry
Never gonna say goodbye
never gonna tell a lie ( sometimes )
And hurt them
Thank you for everything, i learned amazing stuff watching your videos and i just discovered your youtube channel, my dream is to be a streamer despite being old (25 years old) i won't give up, thanks again
I'm doing me boo! 😜 I just enjoy sharing my passion and I try to stream what I would want to watch.
I will consider a collaboration with another streamer. Thx for another helpful video.
Awesome video 👍 stream scheme thanks for the great tips
Whos the streamer at 7:30?
i love ironmouse, not only dose she now have alot of views she also has her own anime figure done by good smile one of the best anime figure makers in japan she is at alot of cons. Its amazing to see how much shes come along.
thanks for the tips
I need to hear this kind of advice weekly to get my butt in gear! So thank you for making these videos. I've been streaming for 2½ years and I'm stuck at 5-15 viewers every week (I appreciate every one of them, but I want to see some growth). I stream once or twice a week, but I spend a lot of time upgrading my stream setup, rather than making discoverable content. Because of your advice, amongst others', it's starting to dawn on me that I should probably put more time into learning how to edit and do good thumbnails, than getting the newest OBS plugin up and running. xD
I was taking this all seriously and now im cant contain my laughter after that orgy fact
Gotta break it up a bit, otherwise people get bored
why do you sound like bennet foddy from getting over it???
What if your conversation skills suck? Still collaborate?
I'd say so, how will you learn and develop if you don't? Gotta put yourself out there : )
@@twopintzVT thanks
@@DavidZMH You'll do amazing!
I know a guy that has over 700 RUclips videos and barely 80 subs and thats for 4 years... his twitch channel has around 370 followers and to this day hes the only one watching himself :D
3:50 "every number is a real person"
The view bot seller that shows up to my stream every time: o_0
if you see this you will get there it just takes time and effort I believe in all of us
I'm at around 50 followers and I've been sticking around 0.95 average viewers
Hey man i need some advice on my channel
if you are stuck small ,twitch algorithms is not for grow or the search engine is shit
I'm almost to the point where I'd welcome a knowledgeable 3rd party opinion. I only say "almost" because I see the things that need improvement but it's a long process 😅
Disclaimer: this is my personal acct and not tied to my stream in any way🥰
I know I'm not interesting.
If you want to grow, look more at yourself, and not others.
ive been streaming since 2019 and have been struggling to even get 1 viewer
