May Allah make it easy for you and your family to have sabr.
Right now all you can think of to do is make dua for him BUT THE DUAS THAT YOU MAKE FOR HIM IS ALL HE REALLY NEEDS RIGHT NOW . When he enters jannah in sha Allah he will be able to say proudly to other people in jannah that when i was all alone in my grave my family sent duas for me continuously and it has brought me to an even higher status in jannah.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "A man's status will be raised in Paradise and he will ask, How did I get here? He will be told, ``By your sons duaas (prayers) for forgiveness for you." (Reported by Ibn Maajah, no 3660; see also Saheeh al-Jaami, 1617)
May Allah reunite you and your family in jannatul firdous inshaAllah.

I have two sons who are memorising the Quran and the environment I'm living in is abit challenging make dua so that Allah makes it very easy for them and that they become the best hafidh. In shaa Allah.
