I love Columbo when he said "I think not so Ma'm, this is not my kitchenfloor and this is not my house, it's from my sargent"! And than the reaction of the woman. 😅 Columbo is the best, when he's coming, all alibis go to break!!!
She was really good, wasn't she! I bought the entire Columbo(remastered) box-set, and that was some of the best cash I have ever spent. This series is the best.
He did the same thing in the earlier episodes , "Murder Under Glass" and "How To Dial A Murder". In "Murder Under Glass", he knew the chef would use the poison again to try to poison him so he switched the wine glasses, and in "How To Dial A Murder", he knew the psychologist would try to have his Dobermans kill him with the code word "Rosebud", so he had a dog trainer deprogramme them from killing when they heard the word. He knew that was the only way he could get the final conclusive evidence against them.
@@johnfinnegan8474 Don't forget in the episode Lady In Waiting, he risked his life going to her house in the dead of night knowing she could have shot him, and claimed she thought it was a burglar sneaking around her house at night. looking for a way to break in.
@@John-kq3pq Yes, which is why I said "Columbo," and not "Peter Falk." You do know the difference between a character and the actor who portrays him, right?
Lucky for you! Can I ask, do they show the episodes in the original or do they voice-over your native Danish instead of English? My German wife and I enjoy watching Columbo speak German 😂😂
There's also the episode where the killer used dogs and a command to get them attack. Columbo got the dobermans programmed to be friendly towards Columbo.
Let's not forget about the one where William Shatner almost pulls a gun on him from the car trunk before Columbo sounds the horn for the surprise backup around the corner. All amazing episodes!
Columbo is written for the viewers, and the viewers see him trying to kill Columbo so it does make sense. It is never going to be tried in a court like an episode of Perry Mason.
I always thought that with one on one time with the suspect, he carries a tape recorder in his jacket just like the word play part in the Rosebud episode of Columbo.
I think Columbo already knew how the guillotine illusion worked well before he ever met that magician in the 2nd clip. There was episode in the original 70's series where he is investigating magician Jack Cassidy and he goes into a magic shop where the owner demonstrates a small scale guillotine operating where Columbo put his finger into the hole without getting it chopped off.
I thought in that episode that scene was staged by both the mob boss and Columbo who had teamed up together to force the killer confess. He had sought protection from Columbo but was told by Columbo he could only protect him from the mob if he confessed. That's why the episode was called "Strange Bedfellows". Columbo and the mob boss working together to catch a killer of a mob bookie.
Ah, you know, you both make some really great points here, and I gotta say, your knowledge of the show is pretty impressive. You’ve got all the right ideas, all the right angles. Now, as for a part 2… well, that’s always a possibility, right?
22:17 My fav one. Columbo being a vigilante and killing the murderer is the most out of character thing he would ever do and the writers tricked you with the silliest magic trick just to show how much of a troll Columbo is
I would hardly just showing two clips of when suspects tried to kill Columbo a "compilation" There were at least six episodes where the murderers tried to kill Columbo because he was getting too close to arresting them.
What about the attack dogs? What about the woman who pointed a gun at him but was "too classy?" What about the poisoned wine? Respectfully, this collection could have used more effort
This idiot go no satisfaction from this encounter so out comes coloring book and crayons he states he was once a copper couldn’t make the grade got to the level of idiot fell short of fool .

That episode is my favourite. And Helen Shavers acting was sublime!

21:48 Columbo literally bet his life that the magician would try to kill him. So wild.
next level stuff, ruthless God is a woman❤ so was Colombo

They are playing one Columbo each day here in Denmark right now! My favorite thing to watch just saw the one were Columbo is on a cruise ship ❤️

@@donarthiazi2443in Denmark they use the original sound track with text in Danish below
I wish I can watch all his series, but can't find. Kindly send to me please. Veronica
I bought the whole series 10 years ago and l'm still watching them and l'm even watching this one😂
That's awesome! Is it still Peter faulks voice or dubbed over?

Rosebud. 😊

Guess Shatner didn't learn from TekWar (If that existed at the time of the episode)
After watching this episode I actually became a marmalade fan
this proves its possible to be short, doofy and cross eyed AF and still be the main character
The first one makes sense because he has a witness and a recording of a confession, but the guillotine one? He has none of those.

Attempted murder of a cop is a crime as well@@martinfinn1550

14:57 Columbo wasn't a magician. He was a puppeteer
I don’t think his switches are all working! Lolz Why have I never caught that one before?
my fav: Lady in Black, the saxo is great
This show is so good but tell me 1 thing how did you do it
I’m so lucky! In the United States, I watched free on RUclips! All of the great Columbo movies 🎥🙏
I miss the How to Dial a Murder (1978) the scene with dogs, Butterfly in Shades of Grey (1994) by shotgun
The Tommy kid. Love him!
Columbo with a gun is horrifying
I loved this series. We still watch all the re-runs of Columbo. 😀 By the way, I don't like Marmalade.

Where is "Murder Under Glass" and "Dial M For Murder?"
Podian poner ciertos programas en español,por ejemplo colombo, para mi la mejor serie de la television ,gracias y saludos desde o ribeiro
Wasn't the kid playing the magician, a young Walowitz from the Big Bang Theory?!
I never knew Columbo had a gun.
What about the attack dogs?
What about the woman who pointed a gun at him but was "too classy?"
What about the poisoned wine?

10:01 this could be hillarious if his artificial eye drop :D, ahh missed oportunity!
I found Columbo seasons 1-7 on Amazon Prime, but I can't find the other seasons. Can anyone tell me where to find them?
Maybe try tubi?
@@Robyn-yc5md thanks for the answer 😊. They are available on Prjme Video Australia👍
1:52: Terminator 3 moment! T-X robot licking her tongue with John Connor's blood!
Name of the first episode?
Rest In Peace, Mrs. Columbo
Helen shaver was absolutely stunning
The hot chick from tremors 2 probably the best sequel in movie history
... lemon marmalade?
Lime is the best!
Yes it’s delicious as is the lime, and I also love the original orange. A very favourite here in the UK.
❤❤❤❤❤
Tente Colombo E la mia serie preferita
Columbo's real life wife guest starred on several Columbo episodes , one was A trace of murder.
10:05 I take that very personally! Brilliant acting all round
No one was there to witness the end. Wierd.
bad epi tbh

Badly edited clip. It misses important elements of this conversation. Thumbs down to this.
The point of the clip is to encourage you to watch the full episode, otherwise they might as well just upload the full episode and call it a day.
