Yours is a much newer model than mine. I had my mower for YEARS. It still starts up great. I buy the parts from Home Depot, where I bought the mower originally and I usually order them. Something like blades I definitely get official Honda parts! The oil, spark plug, air filter I used generic stuff with no issues. IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS starting it up, chances are you are using CHEAPO gasoline. I ONLY use fuel specific for lawn mowers which means there is NO WATER in them. I buy them by the can. Costs a lot more but well worth it. When I had problems starting it up I was thinking of trashing it but searching RUclips I found out the quality of gas can mess up the carburetor. I switched to pure quality gasoline in those cans and it REALLY FIXED IT. It starts on one pull now. I think my mower is like 8 or 9 years old, and my lawn is full of weeds due to droughts in Florida so I need a double blade mower to take care of this.

I got mine in early 2015 and it has been running great since! Honda mowers are amazing!

who put the recoil on backwards so you can't start it from standing behind the mower at the handle

I bought in 2019 hrx 217hzc in canada blew up in 2022 no help from honda,im am buying the hrx 217 without key start my question is,is it a hard job to remove the key start from mower thar blew up and put on the new lawnmower?same hrx 217
