The MSM glorifies super rich people like they are fountains of knowledge on social issues and injustices they don't suffer from . We should glorify righteous working and poor people fighting for justice they are in the fight every day of their lives.
Also, we as a society need to stop listening to people who are clearly mentally unwell. Not because mentally ill people should be stigmatised, but because mentally unwell people should not be taken advantage of by using them for public emtertainment and monetisable outrage production. Obviously it needs to be discussed when it has already happened, but we need tonstop producing such situations. Just don't invite people like Kanye or even Elon Musk. They're unstable.

He is mentally ill, unmedicated and going deeper and deeper into psychosis and nobody is helping him, they're exploiting him. What he is saying is sick and disgusting and so are the people giving him a platform. He'll lose everything and if he doesn't die before he gets help , when he's well again, he'll likely be devastated by what he's saying. Mental illness isn't an excuse but he is ill and not of his right mind. I do have experience with this.

I think Ash's assessment of what's going on here is spot on. Kanye's personal beliefs are combining with his mental health problems & it's all spiralling. I don't agree that he's having a manic episode though. Maybe it started as mania but it's progressed to full blown psychosis now. I'm a bipolar sufferer myself & I've been in the hospital with full psychosis, as have a few friends I have with the condition, so the signs are apparent.
It's separate issues combining here though. Mental health problems alone aren't responsible for this & I'm going to say this because it will need to be telegraphed to some people - being an antisemitic bigot is not a symptom of bipolar disorder or any other mental health condition. I didn't check the DSM-5, but I'll bet my life on that.

I don't fully agree. Having a mental illness like bipolar and schizophrenia can make you believe crazy things and conspiracy theories including racist ones. Someone close to me has bipolar schitzoaffective disorder and believed at one point that white people were clones and that the government was spying on him. He didn't believe this stuff because he was a deeply racist. He ended up being medicated and had a much better grip on reality and the delusions stopped. Just because the stuff he is saying is absolutely terrible, it doesn't mean that it cannot be explained fully by his bipolar. A manic episode can make you connect things that aren't there, racist conspiracies included. I could be wrong though, I don't know him personally

A really good video by Timbah.On.Toast just came out on Ye and symptoms of bipolar. He is not a psychiatrist, but has had first hand experiences with the disorder in his own family. I normally avoid armchair diagnosis on peoples mental state, but considering that he has already been diagnosed by mental health professionals and has personally agreed with the diagnosis 3 years ago, I think it's a valid examination and quite educational on the various symptoms.
Just come from that, really amazing stuff.

I see some good points on his talk. Don't agree 100% of course, but certainly has many good points.
What drives me nuts is that I can't find any place with the whole interview through all the noise. No one links to it. The media only wants to comment on it. It's as though to say, "nothing else he said matters except this one thing, oh and hold on, let me think for you. This is how you should interpret this statement on a global scale."
No matter how wrong Kanye was in what he said, does no one else think it's scary that we can't get any information without it being filtered down to us? Thankfully small things slip through the cracks to provide a glimmer of what the rest on the interview said. For example Kanye said, "I love Jews." Then we have the interpretation from On High, "Let's be clear here, Kanye hates Jews."
I suppose if they told me blue is pink, or that a boy is a girl, I should believe them about these things too.
