This video cut short, due to realizing the rest of the video froze during recording and had no clue until I went to edit. So, I’ll do a follow up video to finish my thoughts on Grove and throw in Johnathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, since that also got cut short in a previous video.

Yay you for promoting great books under the radar. I went back and listened to the older ones when in first started following you.

Omg this is so true and I can’t stand it! I live in a rural area. The closest bookstore to me mostly carries the trending books. Back in the day I could browse the stacks and look for an obscure fantasy book that I’ve never heard of, but I can’t do that now in my bookstore.
And holy cow yes! Overuse of narcissism and trauma! Trigger also!
Just because someone doesn’t like something doesn’t mean they were triggered or traumatized. And just because someone is a
d!ck doesn’t mean they are a narcissist lol.
    Love your videos!

You might like a show on Crave based on a true story, A Friend of a Family. It amazes me how you see a happy family and someone will bring destructive powers into it b/c they're jealous of their light. It is very well done in the show. The actual girl, who became an actress, stars in it as the therapist and is one of the producers. Jack Lacy did such a good job, too.

Love your reviews! Have you ever read Andrea Lee? You kind of remind me of her. Sarah Philips, her debut novel, is a fav of mine. It's often touted as Dark Academia from a young African-American woman's perspective. Anyway, keep up the good work!

i've read last year " someone at a distance" and i loved louise lool i thought she was a very interesting character. yes what she did was dispicable but i still felt bad her about her heartbreak. and the ending was perfect.

Louise is interesting! I do plan to reread it at some point and I wonder if my opinion may soften towards her on the second read. She really is a vulnerable character.
