Food looks good. Have you tried the chicken chop at IT Roo or Hua Mui ? I havent tried IT Roo but been to Hua Mui many times. Old style Hainanese food. My family has been patronising that place for years. Used to have pork chop when I was a kid but now its halal.
@@mellowithage Great😀 hope to hear from you after you try it. They have a pulley system from back in the day, to send food upstairs. Its really like going back in time. I havent been there in over 2 years, hope they are still using it. Look out for it.
Hi Mellow Age, I just subscribed to your channel. It's a very interesting vlogs in JB, haven't been there for a long time, especially since after COVID. 😊👍
Is Midvalley a happening place? Looks quite crowded from your vlog. I went there once a few years ago and it was quite dead. Quite soon after the border reopened. Maybe we should check it out again.
How old are you both? Late 20s? I’m getting my bto in next two years and really curious on you two average spendings on cafes looking at your past videos. I’m feeling so stress as the months get nearer and especially stress about finances that I do not dare spend too much :( Do you think you both are able to give any tips on this?
Hello, thank you for watching our videos and we are turning 28 this year! Sure, we can try to give some tips. There’s many factors to consider for financing your first home and it is very important to know what are your needs and wants! But first, gotta applaud you for planning so early considering you have two years in getting your BTO! For a start, here are few tips for you to plan your finances wisely: 1. Identify your needs and wants for the upcoming home e.g; you want to have a home nicely renovated with your needs, plus a some of the wants in your wish list. Rmb, the needs come first then get your wants! 2. Lifestyle as homeowner: do you want still want to enjoy your life like you used to with minimum changes to your existing lifestyle or are you willing to cut down a lot of expenses or social life after getting a house? For us, we wanted to maintain our lifestyle and still be able to enjoy life! So with that, we decided to look up a reno loan, and paid half with cash! This has allowed us to have minimal cash flow disruption and hence we can still have nice dates! If you’re willing sacrifice some of the usual lifestyle , then you can opt to pay everything without loans to save some interest on that. 3. There are options for 0% monthly instalment for home appliances which you can explore! Lastly, it’s good to not spend too much as cash on hand is important! Most importantly, is to track your expenses and do a proper budgeting, to have a fixed amount on how much you should save and spend base on your income! I use the 50-30-20 budgeting and use an app to track all my expenses and savings :) Hope the above helps and sorry if I’m naggy HAHAHA
@@mellowithage Thank you for your advices :) What are the intros do you both have or had engaged on for renovations or contractors? I am slowly looking into it and planning for the future. Never too early to start planning 🙊 And also. what are both of your thoughts of having joint account as a couple. If it is advisable?
I engaged an interior designer for my renovation! It was not hard to shortlist but important to pay attention to how detail your ID/contractor is! We have joint account too and then set aside money every month to save, which helps us a lot to finance certain stuffs :)
As someone older, may I add it is advisable to have Savings too especially as home owners , but also for life emergencies even if you don't have kids yet. So perhaps you can think about how much you can put by each month for that. Bottom line is to have a Budget so you know what your monthly expenses will be, then try to live below your Income so you can save something too. 2020 taught us sometimes financial crisis comes unexpectedly . Whether Joint or separate accounts, depends on what makes you comfortable. You can even do both with a joint for joint expenses and separate for other personal things. It's all about trust level and what you are comfortable with.
JB trip isn't about saving money but value for money😂
Hahaha so true! Can’t wait to go there next week, gonna shop a lot hahaha
