Crucifix only stops a regular hunt. :)
Only tier 3 stops a cursed hunt but that entire crucifix is unusable
and it was in his inventory, not his hand, so it would have done nothing even if it was a normal hunt.
The max tier has the same amount of uses but can block cursed hunts

Phasmophobia was the coop progressive survival horror game before lethal company. The fun of the game has always been;
-1st getting scared and discovering the game
-2nd fucking with your friends and trying to get them killed
-3rd learning how to win and figure out how to reliably win
-4th winning and unlocking more stuff to fuck around with while actually just being good at the game
the latter however is more diverse rather than interacting with almost the same type of entitity with minimal changes in order to not make it too obvious what it is
One of my friends and I favorite thing was getting someone who hadn’t played yet, and messing with the tv in the tutorial house map. You can turn the TV on and off.
Step 3 is actually "realizing the game is janky, unfinished and repetitive and never playing it again." But maybe that's just me.
This being said, 4 years and they are still using the same shite death cinematic and the characters are still incapable of running...
Got plenty of hours on Phasmo and just ended up just playing it for the interactions with random people.

20:53 the clock counts down the set up time. Set up time is dependent on the gamemode your playing. Thats like a period where the ghost won't hunt. It stopped because the safe period was over.
With the style of videos you do, I hope you get to play this one or two more times before your done with it. I love October on this channel!

If you didn't know @Smii7y if the ghost is hunting, it can hear you. So, when it's hunting, next time, hide in a locker or closet and don't talk. Or are you dead. Other than that. Beautiful video, Smii7y keep playing this!!
On that last ghost:
You had EMF and freezing so it's between oni, twins, shade, and jinn.
You can rule out shade because they can't hunt when you are in their room.
You can rule out oni, because they are more visible during hunts, which was not present at 24:34
You can also cross off jinn, because it did not slow down when it was 3 meters away from you in that same hunt
This leaves twins, which aren't actually 2 ghosts, but just one with a massive range in which it can interact with things. Twins will also alternate between either 10% faster or 10% slower in hunts, making it seem like there are 2 different ghosts.
You guys were correct, but for the wrong reasons. The ghost's model doesn't actually tell you that much. I would absolutely love to see more phasmophobia content in the future though, this game makes some hilarious moments especially with your group. It's also very deep if you wanted to learn it.

- twins arent two ghosts
- twins are one ghost with different speeds in consecutive hunts
- ghost models dont actually contribute to evidence, any ghost can have any model. the only exception being obake

Also, Smii7y, you can hide in closets and stuff or behind closed doors to hide from ghosts, if you ever decide to play this again. That's probably why you guys kept dying every time it hunted
Phasmaphobia is really fun to watch when others play, especially if they only know the basics. Insym is fun to watch but he doesn't have that delicious fear anymore since he's such a pro now 😅

The best quality of the game is the roleplaying you can come up with. My friends were SCREAMING at a ghost the first year it came out and we were in tears from laughing.
i love this game but i haven't played it in a while cause i'm waiting for the next updates, i got really good at this game that i could tell what the ghosts were based on what they were doing and how they behaved instead of evidence, fun to watch new players enjoy the game!

That was freezing tempearture. Ghost orb can only be seen with the NV camera.
To use the Dots projector, you don’t hold it like a torch, you set it up in a room and put a camera watching it, someone will watch it in the van, same as ghost orbs. Then with the crucifix, you don’t put it on the ground, you throw it at the ghost while it’s hunting and if it makes contact, it’ll cancel the hunt
seeing the front door close right in front of you and just going "huh" is so real. you're either about to die horribly or make the greatest escape in history.
Smii7y, please note... we all want you to do more horror games with your buddies. Let the likes explain.

Alright so a fun tip. Entering a hiding spot with your flashlight on is the same thing as entering a hiding spot while yelling to the ghost.
Also: the crucifix only prevents hunts at a range
Bonus: you will not outrun most ghosts. They get faster the longer they are chasing you. Turn off your flashlight and book it
Phasmo is fun because you can feel how much better you’ve gotten after a while

I would love to see you guys play this again (insym collab maybe??) but if I could tell you guys just one thing it would be that when the ghost starts hunting you, it can sense the location of your electronics and use them to find you. the reason somebody died pretty much every hunt for you guys is just that - you could never hide.
other tips, without giving too much away (i wouldn't want to ruin the fun of figuring things out):
once you've narrowed it down to a few ghosts, it's helpful to read their descriptions. it's also helpful to read the description of the ghost if you get it wrong, so you know what you missed that could've clued you in.
the spirit box device (the one that lets the ghost speak to you through radio stations) drains your sanity while it's on. Wait to use it until you have a general idea of what room the ghost might be in, as you need to be close to the ghost to get a signal.
lastly, when the ghost manifests and takes a physical form, most devices go haywire, rendering their readings unreliable.
Oh! Dead players can pick up and throw certain items. Rather than unmuting on discord, it can be fun to have a clunky system of silent communication with them. "Throw item on the desk if yes, floor if no," et cetera.
Also mechanically speaking, Twins isn't two different ghosts. Rather than explain exactly how they work, I'll just say: Both "twins" look exactly the same, and you will never see both manifest at once. However, while one twin interacts with items and manifests from around the "ghost room," the other likes to wander.
Me and my friends were playing in the house where they found the mirror the first time, and my friend used the hole thing right as I walked into the room it was it. I instantly died

7:10 using the mirror drains your sanity considerably fast and once u reach 0 sanity then the ghost will hunt you almost immediately
