This warmed my cold heart! I completely agree with Matt about discovering the human side of cycling. Great video, George! :)

26:30 : Your comment on how your perspective changed from seeing cycling as pragmatic thing to important part of human activities in cities is really inspiring!

23:00 In my area of Toronto, there are quite a few boulevard multiuse trails, and plans to build out a pretty extensive network. However, there are very few so-called 'cross-rided' and legally cyclists are required to dismount and walk to cross the intersection, where these paths cross side streets, which is quite onerous. Compliance is low (and many people ride on sidewalks). The city is sloooowly added more bike signals and crossrides, but the vast majority of MUT intersections require dismounting.

Ow, and 14:55 : The Bridge you mention is not Stephanie but Daphne Schippersbrug, after the Dutch sprint athlete. www.nextarchitects.com/nl/projects/dafne_schippers_bicycle_bridge

The audio suffers a bit at lower temperature, otherwise I enjoyed this episode.

Astute observation! Scarves muffled the mics so we'll keep the mics on the outside next time

Sorry, there is no bad weather, just crappy clothing when cycling. Oh, and crappy winter bicycles. When you expect your super light road bike to survive winter, get a useful bicycle.

and there is not bike infrastructure for winter cycling.
